My journey to find the Istari began. I passed many cities and villages on my travels, but none of them seemed to know who or where this Istari was. The funny thing is was that I hadn't noticed that my entire attire had changed since I left the ritual grounds. My robe was gold with knee-length black boots and a pair of black trousers underneath. There was a scarf around my neck and shoulders that were attached to my gown; it was both silver and gold. My staff had been made from the old golden oak tree from which I received my powers; it's crystal black as the night. The staff itself had been embedded with the same black crystal and specks of gold that lined the wood making it durable.
At this current time, I was in a forest and seeing as I was curious I wanted to try out my powers. There was, of course, one specific power I wanted to try out, that power was my transformation power. Being smart I thought of something that would help me find the Istari? I needed a way to travel more quickly and efficiently, so I decided to transform into a great eagle.
Now you have to keep in mind that I had no idea how to use these powers of mine, they didn't come with an instruction manual. So you can imagine my surprise when I found myself morphing into this magnificent creature just by thinking about it. My bones and muscles did ache due to the sudden transformation, but it had been successful. Taking off, I headed north and continued my search.
With my calculations, I was now approaching the city of Dale, and it was not what I expected it to be. There were cries of terror, and a mighty roar thundered its way to my ears. I flew higher hoping to see where all this commotion was coming from; it was coming from Erebor and Dale.
It was being attacked by a young fire drake, screams of children and families hung in the air, and I decided that I would help them. I landed by the entrance of Erebor and saw the fire-drakes tail disappearing swiftly inside, it was followed by more cries, and I rushed in to see if I could help. Realizing I was still in my eagle form I quickly morphed back, the drake you know was after the gold that was lying inside the mountain. There was nothing I could do here, so I went back outside to help the dwarves escape.
I could hear a family trapped in a burning building so using my power I sucked the fire into my hands and helped the dwarf family out,
There was a family trapped in a burning building, raising my hands I absorbed the fire into myself and helped the dwarf family out.
"thank you so much, I don't know who you are but you saved our lives please help the others especially the king, his son and the young prince. thank you!!" And they ran off as far away from the mountain as they could.
Horns were blown, and I knew it was a cry for help, I continued my part as I extinguished fires and helped people get out. It was then that I looked up and saw the elves, they had come to help the dwarves it seems. The king was sat on his elk, looking over the battleground, still smoking from extinguished fires. He then turned his face and looked at me, his expression confused.
I then heard a cry from my right
"Help us!! Please!! Help us!!" The young prince cried as he held onto his father with the king behind him.
The Elf King broke our gaze, and I assumed looked at the prince, glancing back at me once more he turned away with a grim expression and left. The young prince screamed at them, begging them to come back and help them but a roar from the depths of Erebor silenced his cries.
I ran over to assist him, but he pushed me away.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" The prince asked
"Do not think I am doing this out of pity young prince, I have helped your people escape, and now I am here to help you and your kin. We must go." I hissed
"Fine, but if you even attempt to bring harm to any of us do not think I will hesitate to kill you" he spat back.
Transforming back into eagle form I grabbed his father and had the young prince and king climb onto my back.
The King and the young prince looked back at their home with heavy hearts Erebor was lost.
Traveling for a couple of hours and I soon saw where the remaining dwarves were. They had stopped to camp in a large clearing, they looked devastated, and were mourning this with whom they had lost. Where was their king? Circling their camp, I soon heard children scream as they saw me, lowering myself down into the middle of the field. Dropping the King down first I waited for one of the dwarven soldiers to alert everyone that I was not a threat.
Two soldiers approached me, and I watched as they picked up their king. Now that the message had spread that I was no danger the dwarves surrounded me, curious I suppose. Then the soldier that was in front of me finally spoke.
"Thank you for bringing our king back, but where is the young prince? And his father?"
"They are resting; it seems the loss of Erebor has burdened them immensely."
Morphing back to my regular form I carefully lowered the prince and his father onto the ground.
"Hey, that's the wizard who helped us escape The Lonely Mountain!" I heard
"yeah!! She helped us when our house was burning! She saved our son" cried another,
the soldier then looked at me
"who are you?"
"I am Asema the Gold, wizard of middle earth and here to protect this world from evil, I have helped you all I can for now. I cannot tell you how sorry I am for your losses, but you still have your king and the heir to your throne so be thankful for that, if I may ask what will be your plans now?"
"We plan to reclaim the mines of Moria" replied the soldier.
"very well I shall assist you in this quest and do what I can for you and your people."
"thank you; I can't tell you how happy I am" at this moment the Prince and his father decide to awaken they quickly stand up and look around. There is then a round of applause from the dwarves congratulating their return. Thrain Turns to look at me
"thank you for returning me to my people I will be in your debt."
"I will not take your debt Thrain for I have decided to aid you in the battle to reclaim Moria."
"but you don't look like a warrior, forgive me but I do not know how much use you can be in battle."
"ahh my lord I may be fifteen, but you have not seen me battle, please don't judge me by my appearance I am a great warrior and wizard, I can aid you in this battle."
I was beginning to get annoyed at his pride. Can he not see that his people need help? I can give him this support if he would just throw away his ego.
"Very well if you can beat my son Thorin in a battle I will allow you to aid us, no magic do you accept?"
"Yes I accept your challenge, may I have a sword?"
"Give her a sword soldier!"
A/N so will she win the battle? What do you think so far? Please comment and vote. I do apologise if I get details wrong such as the king's name and other things in the story. Keep reading :) Sarah xx
