Chapter 41 - The Perfect Date

Asema's POV

Aela continued to trot to wherever she was taking me, I took in the beautiful surroundings around me and breathed out. I was happy with the way my life was going, yeh I'd gone through hell and back, but the main thing was I was with Thorin.

Aela came to a stop, and I dismounted her, she nudged my back and cantered off. I looked around and saw I was staring at the most beautiful scene in front of me, ahead lay The Lonely Mountain standing in its magnificence. The sun was setting behind it making it a breathtaking sight, Erebor I sighed.

I felt a reliable pair of arms around my shoulders; I tilted my head to see Thorin smiling down at me. I pecked him on the lips and stepped out of his embrace,

"Do you like it Asema? It's all for you" Thorin whispered

"I love it, but why have I been dressed up?"

"Well I wanted you to look even more beautiful then you usually do for tonight, because tonight is special for me."

"Tell me how it's so special."

"Now that would ruin the surprise Asema, come let's take a walk."

So linking arms with Thorin, we began to walk along a path,

"You don't know how special you are to me."

"Thorin, you don't know how special you are to me."

"Well I guess we are both special to each other"

"I agree"

"What lays ahead for you Asema? Where do you see yourself after this?"

"Well, I see myself either going back to the Istari and travelling the world or looking after my new family."

"New family?" Thorin inquired

"You! the dwarves! Silly! Your my family now" I laughed.

"Hey! I knew that"

"Sure you did Thorin."

"Are you teasing me again Asema? You know I don't like it when you tease me."

"Psshhhh, of course, I'm not teasing you" I replied smirking

Before I knew it Thorin had me on the ground and began tickling me; I wriggled under his body as I laughed and squealed.

"Thoorrrin! Get offfff meeee!!!!" I yelled

I was gasping for breath when Thorin finally stopped tickling me; I laughed a bit more as I stared up into Thorin's ice blue eyes. They were swimming with emotion, love and happiness I could only imagine my eyes showed the same. With Thorin still sitting on top of me he slowly leant down and kissed me.

The kiss was slow and passionate as I could feel his warm lips against mine, his hands cupping my face. He stood up abruptly and pulled me up with him, still staring intensely into my eyes he pulled out a ring that had a blue sapphire,

"My dearest Asema, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife, my queen and my true love forever?" He asked

"Yes! Thorin!" I exclaimed as I pulled him up and kissed him hard

I could feel his laughs through the kiss, and we broke apart gleaming at each other, he slipped the ring onto my finger and interlaced his hand with mine. We continued to walk back to the house smiling, laughing and kissing.

This was my perfect date if only every day could be as blissful as this one
