Part 2
Chapter 10
It was 7:45 and I was sitting in my living room waiting for Blake. I don't know why but I was feeling very nervous about this trip. I've never ditched school for a day before never mind two weeks. After I told my mum about everything she somehow agreed to let me go, which trust me is a miracle.
I started thinking about how just a few months ago I was driving to school with my best friend Amy and I hated Kian's guts. A lot of things have changed and there are a lot of things I need to fix.
Ding dong
I got up and opened the door.
"Hi Blake, how are you," I asked, letting him in.
"I'm feeling a lot of things at the moment and one of them is hunger," he replied walking to the kitchen. I smiled and followed him in.
"Do you have fruit loops," he said, looking through all the cupboards. I laughed and pointed.
"The bottom right," I told him.
My mum walked in as I grabbed an apple and took a bite. She looked and Blake to see him helping himself.
"Hello, you must be Blake," she said, as he took a seat next to me.
" yes I am," he said, taking a mouthful.
"Now Blake," she said, giving him an intense look," I am trusting you with the life of my daughter and you have to make a promise to me that you will keep her safe,".
"It's my top priority," he said, putting his arm around me. I laughed and got up to hug my mum.
"Make sure to call me everyday," she said squeezing me.
"I will," told her, kissing her on the cheek.
We said our goodbyes and soon Blake and I were on the road.

It had been a few hours since we left and Blake and I had before laughing and talking non stop about Kian. He was telling me loads of funny stories about him and I was starting to realise that there were more side to Kian than I thought.
"Can I turn on the radio," I asked
"Sure, as long as you put on a good song," he said, "none of that girly crap".
I turned it on and flicked through the stations until I found a "good song".
"Oh yes, I love this one," I said, turning it up.

We both sang along to different songs until it was almost dark.
It was 8:07 and my stomach was rumbling,
"Oh my god I'm so hungry," I said, putting my hand on my stomach.
"Do you want to stop here, get some food and rest,"he said, pointing at a colourful diner at the side of the road.
"That sounds great," I said as we pulled in.
We sat down at a small table and I ordered a hamburger and a water. When the food came I took the biggest bite I could.
"Mmmmmm," I moaned, leaning back in the chair. Blake laughed.
"Is that good," he asked, smiling at me. I quickly nodded and started to laugh.
Blake had pizza and Coke and we shared fries.
Just after we finished my mum started calling me.
"Oh that's my mum I better go take this," I said, standing up and placing 10 dollars on the table for Blake to pay. He mouthed thank you as he walked up to the register.
"Hi mum," I said walking out.
"Are you okay," she asked
"Yes mum, I'm fine," I told her, leaning against the wall.
We talked for a bit and Blake soon walked out so I told my mum goodbye and that I'd call her tomorrow.
"What's the time," he asked, leaning beside me.
" its 9:45," I said looking at him.
He smiled sweetly and moved closer. What are you doing Blake. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine. Oh my god what is happening. I pushed him of and stared at him.
"What are you doing," I said.
"I'm so sorry Riley, I don't know. I thought you liked me," he said, looking down. I sighed.
"I'm sorry Blake, I don't like you that way," I said.
"I know, you like Kian. I shouldn't have done that. Please don't tell him," he said nervously
"Don't worry I won't, let's just get back on the road," I said.
We walked back to the car and drove awkwardly until we stopped at a service station and fell asleep.
