Chapter 24

"Mum!" I cried as I jumped into her arms, "I missed you so much".

Blake had just dropped me off at home and I was so happy to see my mum after so long.

"I missed you more. How are you baby?" She said holding me tight.

"I'm good," I told her with a smile.

"Well come on through to the kitchen, I'll make you a cup of coffee and you can tell me all about it," she said with excitement.

I laughed at how cute she was being and we danced around the kitchen as we had a girly chat. We got a take out for dinner, watched a movie and as happy as I was I still couldn't get the thought of school out of my head. It shocked me when I saw Amy with a cigarette today. I mean she was always so against smoking and drinking and stuff. I just hoped that I didn't have to talk to her tomorrow because I really couldn't be bothered with that shit.

Beep beep beep

"Noooooooo," I groaned as my alarm went of. I sat up and slammed the button on my alarm clock to make the piercing noise of hell stop.

"Come on Riley you can do this," I told myself as I got out of my bed. I through on a pair of denim mom jeans and a cropped baseball tee before gently combing out my hair and putting on some light make up.

"Okay, this is acceptable," I said as I took one last look in the mirror and slowly slumped down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen to see a small sticky note left for me on the fridge.

Good luck on you first day back sweetheart. I love you lots, from mum.

I smiled and checked my phone to see what time it was. Blake should be here soon as we had arranged for him to pick me up before school from now on. So I quickly pulled my white converse on and swung my bag over my shoulder.

Buzz buzz

I looked down at my phone to see a message from Blake telling me that he was outside. I unlocked the door and and jumped into his car.

"Hello sunshine, are you excited,"he said sarcastically.

"OMG like I can even wait," I said even more sarcastically and he laughed.

We started to drive and the closer we got to the school the more I wanted to grab the wheel and drive off a cliff. We soon stopped in the school parking lot and I turned to Blake for reassurance that everything was going to be okay.

"You've got this girl," he said taking my hand and giving it a squeeze. I smiled and took a deep breath before opening the car and and stepping out. Together Blake and I walked through the hallway. I spotted Amy's group of friends and my breath hitched. one small blonde girl saw me and whispered something to the group that made them all including Amy turn and stare at me. The same small girl started to walk towards us and Blake stopped and looked at me in shock.

"What's wrong?!" I asked him in a worried tone.

"That's my girlfriend, I completely forgot about her," he said motioning to the girl walking towards us.

"What! How can you forget about your girlfriend," I asked him.

"I don't know, we have only been going out for a little while and I guess I got caught up with Marcus. She just slipped my mind," he replied. The girl was now standing in front of us with her hands on her hips.

"Hi jess," Blake said awkwardly as he stared at his feet

"Hi jess. That's all you have you say to me. You disappeared for almost two weeks and then turn up with this bitch," she said pointing at me.

"Hey! Her name is Riley and she is not a fucking bitch okay. I don't know what Amy has told you about her but none of its true," he said a bit louder. People started to turn around and stare and the rest of Jess's group began to walk over.

"That still doesn't explain why you ran off with that slut without even saying goodbye. I thought we had something special," jess said as she crossed her arms.

"yeah I know and that wasn't right of me. I should of never made you think that I actually liked you," Blake said. Everyone in the hall was now engrossed in the three of us.

"What?! Were you just trying to get into my pants you sick freak," she said, pushing his chest.

"No... I was trying... trying to convince myself," he stuttered as he tried to think of the right words.

"Convinced yourself of what you asshole," she asked him pushing his chest again and this time Blake lost it.

" I was trying to convince myself that I wasn't gay! There are you happy!" He shouted in her face. Everyone gasped and jess was stood there speechless.

"That's right everyone. I'm fucking gay!" He shouted again as he looked around at everyone watching. The bell went so I took Blake's arm and pulled him out of the crowd and towards our first class.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he said taking a deep breath and running his hand through his hair. I had never seen him like that before and it's was actually rather scary. We walked into our English class to see Mr McDonald sitting patiently at his desk. When he saw us he did a double take.

"Well well well, I didn't think I'd ever see you two again. I was getting my hopes up as well," he said with a smirk," you guys have a lot to catch up on".

I mentally screamed and walked to my seat as Blake walked to his. Other students stared and whispered to each other when they saw us but I didn't care as much as I thought I would. School would soon be over and Kian and I could both live happily ever after. That's his life works, right?
