Chapter 13

I was in my room, pacing around trying to forget what just happened when Kian came back. I walked downstairs to greet him but he looked very sad and tired.

"Are you okay," I asked

"Yeah... Yeah I'm fine," he said nodding his head.

"Okay," I said quietly.

"There he is!" Nate said, jumping down the stairs. He gave Kian a hug and ruffled his hair.

"Hi Nate," Kian said, fixing his hair.

Nate looked at me and smirked.

"So did you like what you saw in there," Nate asked, giving me a wink.

"I told you I didn't see anything," I said , punching his arm.

"What are you talking about," Kian asked confused.

" oh nothing," Nate said with a smile.

He walked of into the living room leavening Kian and I alone again. He looked at me with a raise eyebrow and then started laughing.

"I don't want to know," he said picking up his bad and walking upstairs.

I went into the living room and sat down.

"Where's Blake and Marcus," I asked Nate as i plumbed a cushion.

"They said they were going to the basement to play air hockey," he said looking up from his phone.

"Oh, okay. So what are you doing today," I asked, flicking through a magazine.

"well I was going out for lunch with my girlfriend but shes just told me she can't anymore. So to answer your question, nothing, " he said with a smile.

"Well why don't we all do something together. I'd love to see what there is to do around this place," I said, sitting up a bit.

"Yeah okay, we could go down to the beach, it's literally at the end of this street," he said standing up.

I jumped up and dropped the magazine.

"That sounds great, I'll go get Blake and Marcus," I said.

I wondered down to the basement to see Blake and Marcus sitting on the hockey table, laughing their heads off.

"Hey guys, do you want to go down to the beach for a little bit," I asked

"Yeah, that sounds fun," Marcus said, getting up.

"Great, then it's a plan," I said giving him a high five.

"Is it okay if I invite my friend Maia, it's just that I promised I'd hang out with her today.

"Yeah that's fine! Is she nice," I asked.

"She one of the nicest people I know, in fact I think you would really like her," he said, helping Blake of the table.

"Do you think Kian will be up to going," he asked.

"I'm not sure, he seemed a bit off but I'll definitely ask him," I said as we walked upstairs.
