Song/title of the chapter: Bulletproof Love by Pierce the Veil

"This isn't fair, no! Don't you try to blame this on me. My love for you was bulletproof but you're the one who shot me."

Hours later, the rest of the boys had come home. Christian, Jordan, and Dalton had come upstairs to check on me, and I told them I was fine, even though all four of us knew that that was a bloody lie.

The intercom in my room beeped and I crawled out from under my covers and walked over to it. "Hello?"

"Family meeting." David's voice rang through the intercom. "We'll be in the kitchen."

"Okay, I'm coming." I sighed. I let go of the speaker button and slipped on some socks before shuffling out of my room and slowly going down the stairs. I entered the kitchen, and there was Tanner, Brad, Gregory, Pauly, and Jeremy.

Once Jeremy saw me, he immediately stood up. "No, I'm not doing this. I know what this is, and I'm not doing it."

Tanner forced his brother back down. "It's too late for that now. You're already in here. You're already sitting. Now shut the fuck up and be mature about this."

Jeremy rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. I cautiously walked over to the island where he was sitting and took a seat across from him. Tanner and Brad stood on either sides of me while Gregory and Pauly did the same for Jeremy.

"You two need to talk." Brad stated. "We're here in case anything gets out of control. We can't have this toxic relationship in the family right now, and the two of you know that."

"You should've told her that before she went and cheated on me." Jeremy hissed.

"Not before you fucked McKenzie first." I shot back.

"You had sex with your best friend."

"Yeah, and then you had sex with a girl you don't even like and your ex girlfriend. At least I felt bad."

Jeremy scoffed. "You think I didn't feel bad about what happened with Mckenzie and Sia? I do, all right? Well, I did."

"I don't know who gave you the idea that I cheated on you when literally this morning I found out you cheated again." I crossed my arms over my chest. "So tell me, in the fifteen minute window from me leaving the house to you finding me talking to Mikey, how the fuck and who the fuck would I have cheated on you with?"

Jeremy pulled out his phone and slid it over to me. "This is how. Explain this to me."

I looked at the screen, and it was a series of texts apparently between me and Jas. I furrowed my eyebrows as I read them.

Aria : i need a favor.

Jas : sure, anything for you, princess.

Aria : my boyfriend's such a slug and is a fucking amateur when it comes to sex. i need someone experienced.

Jas : what makes you think i'm experienced?

Aria : i don't know, you seem the type. plus you're way hotter than he is, sooo...

Jas : all right, princess, i'll fuck you. before school tomorrow, okay? it'll be quick, and then i'll drive you to school afterwards. we'll have a better session another time, i promise. ;)

Aria : thanks, you're a lifesaver. ;)

I gaped at the screen. "This isn't me, what the fuck."

"Oh, really?" Jeremy scoffed. "That isn't you? That isn't your number?"

I didn't say anything as I pulled out my phone. Jeremy sighed. "This is literally all your fault."

My head snapped up so quick as I glared angrily at him. "No, okay? No, you're not going to start that. I fucking loved you and I still do. Don't you dare try and blame all this on me."

I looked back at the phone, and then at mine. The number wasn't mine. It was off by one number, but it was still a Canadian number.

"The number's off," I said as I slid the phone back to him, "by one number. It's still a Canadian number, but I don't know who's it is. I just know it's not mine."

Jeremy didn't say anything as he picked up his phone. I got up from the stool. "Just call me when you're ready to seriously talk about this and not just throw accusations everywhere."

I thanked Gregory, Pauly, Brad, and Tanner for trying before leaving the kitchen and heading back up the stairs to my room. I closed the door quietly behind me and walked over to my bed, climbing in and resuming to stare at the ceiling like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

I was just about to fall asleep when someone knocked at my door. I groggily got out of bed and stumbled over to it, scratching my head as I opened it.

No one stood on the other side, but something was at my feet. I looked around in the dark hallway, and when I couldn't see anyone, I picked up the small box, and retreated back into my room.

I flicked on the light and sat on the floor by the door. I unraveled the small bow and carefully opened the box. A small cue card with messy handwriting sat on top. I picked it up and read it first.

You literally light up my whole world.

It's always so dark and you're that small star or the big bright moon that makes everything a little bit better.

This is to show you how much I actually appreciate you, even though I don't really show it all the time. You deserve to know that you're a star (or the moon because it's just as bright and beautiful) and you're special.
I love you.

I smiled at the message nevertheless and opened the small black box. Inside with a necklace that had moon and star charms hanging from it. I gripped it tightly and grinned as I buried my head deep into my lap.

This was cute. Extremely cute. I loved it.
