A New Idea

I really meant to have an early update this week, but I was super busy. I had Gifted and Talented chorus which is County-Wide and a ton of work. There's even a 6 hour rehearsal! Anyway here's our regularly timed chapter!

Harry's POV

I was angry.

I was angry at Ray.

I was angry at Liam.

I was angry at Zayn.

But now I just miss her. I can't believe I made the mistake of letting her go. I wanted her to stay and be a part of little group here and maybe help us find Niall. It's been about a day since she's left so I expect her to be long gone.

I hear someone pad towards me and when I look up, I see Liam setting a cup of tea before me.

"Thanks."

He sits down across from me but we stay silent. Liam is my friend but I don't know how he could suggest we just let Ray leave. I know it's what she wanted but I thought she cared about us.

"So Harry, how are you holding up?"

I shrug my shoulders in response. I was really starting to like Ray. I'm not sure if I like her in a sisterly way or as more.

"I'm fine I guess. I just wish that Ray could have stayed."

"I'm sorr--"

"LIAM!? ZAYN!? HARRY!?"

"Is that Ray!?" Liam goes wide eyed.

"GUYS PLEASE HELP!" I look at Liam. I want to help but Liam looks like he's pondering the possibility of just leaving her out there. "I cant hold him much longer! Please!" Liam chooses to ignore her calls. I huff and quickly stand up, grabbing an axe and running out.

The door swings behind me while I spot Ray. On her arm was my

best friend.

The axe slides from my hand and clatters onto the ground. I quickly start sprinting towards Ray and Louis.

I grab under Louis' arms and put him over my shoulder.

"Come on, Ray." I say before I start jogging towards the diner.

"Liam, open the door!"

Liam opens the door and holds it with one arm. When he spots Louis his face changes from scared to concerned yet happy.

"Is that Louis?"

"Yeah." Ray, Liam, and I quickly carry Louis into the diner and set him on a table.

"What do we do Liam?"

"Um.. Ray go get a pillow, Harry go dampen a few towels and I'll get the first aid kit.

I return with the towels. My hands shake from excitement and fear. I stare at the guy who has been so close to me but was suddenly ripped away.

The feeling of seeing Louis again is like being away from your best friend for a long time but finally seeing them. It was the same, except I had always wondered if he was dead or not.

Liam and Ray rush back to the table. Liam grabs the pillow from Ray and sets it under Louis head. He takes off Louis shirt leaving him with only his shorts. Liam puts his hand out for a towel which I hand him. He puts the towel on Louis forehead and another on his chest.

"He probably passed out from the heat." Liam infers. "How did you find him?" He turns to Ray.

"I found him in a nearby Walmart. He was all alone and there were tons of walkers out in the parking lot which is probably why he couldn't get out.. But he was fine, I swear!"
