"Less than three and a half hours!? When were you planning on telling us!? Did you just feed us and let us sleep here to watch us burn in an explosion? Listen man, you...you are sick." Zayn says, putting his pointer finger on Jenner's chest and getting extremely close.

"T-that wasn't really my plan. I mean, think about this: the world has gone to hell. There are barely any humans left and there are monsters roaming the streets. How in the world would the human race get back on its feet? It's impossible. If a baby were to come into this world, he wouldn't survive. Everyone is dying! What's the point anymore? I say we just wait it out and go the easy way. The explosion will happen within a few seconds. It was designed to destroy everything kept here, including stray people. You won't feel a thing." Jenner reaches for my hand, as if he were trying to implant his point of view into my mind.

Zayn shoves Jenner's hand away from me.

"You don't go near her." Zayn growls. Jenner puts his hands up, surrendering.

"Zayn, maybe you should take a step back, okay? Zayn?" I intertwine my fingers with his. His countenance slightly relaxes with my touch. "Where are the generators? There has to be another canister at least, right? There might be one hidden away!"

"The generators are in the basement. The oil we have stocked up is only made to last about 30 days. I've stretched out the supply by keeping most things off but I honestly doubt there is any oil left. I've checked."

"Well sometimes you just need a set of new eyes." Zayn says with intense eyes. He swiftly turns around to leave, dragging me behind him.

We find the stairs that lead to the basement and switch on the lights. Our feet patter against the floor and echo throughout the dank halls. The dim lights flicker, spreading an eerie feeling through my body.

A few more sets of footsteps follow behind us.

"Let's look for any canisters. Shake them and tilt them to see if they have ANY oil at all."

"Okay." I agree. He quickly pecks my cheek and turns down a different corridor.

Tilting each canister, I check for oil. Each barrel is empty and light. Every barrel from the pallets was empty. The barrels on the ground were empty. I check the gauges of generators, only to see the needle pointing to the red zone.

"We're running on fumes." I shake my head, saying to myself.

I walk back to the bottom of the stairs and wait for the boys. Soon, Harry meets up with me followed by Zayn, Liam and Louis.

"Did you find anything?" I ask. Everyone simply shakes their head no. Harry keeps his eyes glued to the ground.

"What are we going to do?" He mutters.

"We have to get out of here." Liam decides.

"Agreed. We can't go out now. Especially when Niall could still be out there." Harry says. Louis stays silent as we rush back up the stairs, shoes clapping against the floor.

"Jenner!" I yell. He turns to face us, but his hand hovers over a black and yellow striped button.

"What...is that?" I ask cautiously.

"There's nothing left." He says and slams his hand down on the button.

"NO!" I screamed even though I didn't know the purpose of the button.

"Closing all doors. All exits will be sealed. Going into combustion preparation mode. Doors will be sealed in 5, 4," VI continues to count down.

"Go! Get out!" We run to the doors as they quickly drop towards the floor. The doors click into place as we reach them. "NO!" I scream, hitting the glass. "OPEN THE DOORS! PLEASE!" I plead, desperately.
