My eyes slowly opened to darkness. It was completely dark out. I grabbed my phone from it's place on the night stand next to me. I squinted as the light hit my eyes.

10:47pm

Damn. I slept the whole day away. I knew I was up all night, but I didn't think I was that tired. Maybe it's this whole jet leg people talk about.

Ping!

I heard something hit my bedroom window. It must have started to rain.

Ping!

It happened again.

Ping!

Clearly it's not rain.

Ping!

I got up from my bed. I walked over go my window and looked down.

"Are you crazy?" I asked loud enough for Kendall to hear.

"I need to talk to you." Kendall said.

"It's almost eleven at night and I don't want to talk to you." I said.

"Just one chance. Let me have one chance to hear me out and then if you still don't like me I'll leave you alone and I'll just be your annoying next door neighbor." Kendall said. I stood there debating if I wanted to do it or not. "Please."

"Fine. Just one chance." I said, walking away from my window. I walked down the steps. Aunt Milly was sitting on the couch reading a book. "Do you mind if I sit on the porch for a bit? Kendall wants to talk to me."

"Promise to stay on the porch?" She asked.

"Promise." I said. She nodded and I left the house. Kendall was sitting on the steps. I walked over and sat next to him. "Hey."
