"I'm sorry." Kendall said. I looked at him. He was looking out the same place I was.
"Um... okay?" I said. I didn't really know what to say.
"I'm serious Amelia." Kendall said.
"I prefer to be called Emmie." I said.
"You don't like Emmie?" he asked.
"No I don. My mom gave me that nickname. It was what she always called me before she died." I said.
"Anyway, Emmie. The airport. I wanted to apologize for the way I acted." Kendall said.
"And you couldn't have said that on my aunt's porch?" I asked. "I'm gonna be grounded for disobeying her."
"Crap. You're right." Kendall said. "We better get you back."
We both set our seat buckles back on. I didn't even realized I took it off. Kendall put the car into drive and we started going the same way we came. The drive was silent just like when we came, but it was more nerves. I disobeyed my aunt and I have been gone for over two hours. This can't be good. Kendall drove faster through the city. The house came into view as Kendall turned the corner and I gulped.
My aunt was sitting on the steps, waiting for me. Kendall pulled up to the house and I immediately got out.
"I'm sorry."
