Part 6- Kira Case and Robot Wars

Over the months, heart attacks started occurring. They weren't ordinary coincidences, since there was so much people that died and when you researched the subject, you found out that mostly criminals died. This surprised you greatly, and you consulted with your roommate, Near, who was currently watching television, about these abnormal occurrences.

You: Near, see all these heart attacks on TV? Like every channel I turn to says Kira, Kira, Kira! Like I just want to watch some shows, what's up with this Kira nonsense?

Near: You should be down in the library more than in the living room watching television.

You: Not the point. And since when did you care about my studies? I could surpass you one day. Anyway, not the point-

Near: I highly doubt that.

You: Again, NOT THE POINT. What's with Kira? Your super genius brain should figure out why heart attacks are happening at the most random moments to criminals.

Near: They are not random. This is a serial killing, there's too plentiful of occurrences to be a coincidence, and notice how they're all criminals. This person has a cruel sense of justice to annihilate all the criminals of the world. I'm pretty sure L is already on the case.

You: Huh? How can they kill someone without them even being present?

Near: That is what I would like to know for myself. Now please be quiet, I am trying to listen to the news.

You: *sigh* whatever, I just want (f/s) back on.

Near: Do you want to come watch the news with me?

You: Sure, nothing else to do but study.

You plop your butt on the sofa next to him. You put your elbow on the armrest and rest your head in your hand.

Man this stinks. Why are people obsessing over this Kira dude? Maybe he or she is doing the world a favor. The world is cruel and rotten. But Kira is making this a tyranny, like am I going to get killed because I stole money? People should only get killed or serve a life sentence when they killed someone else. Man this is boring. I wonder if my (f/character) and (s/f/character) ship has sailed yet.

Near: You look bored.

You: I am.

Near: This case looks interesting though.

You: No, it doesn't. Kira must not be in our country because all these English folks here didn't die! Only if its worldwide they die. And maybe this is just a disease, ya know? Maybe they found out a way to make heart attacks contagious. People are idiots nowadays.

Near: No, because they are only criminals who die. But yes to your first hypothesis, with that information I have figured out that Kira is in Japan.

You: *yawn* I'm tired.

Near: It's three in the afternoon.

You: Time for my nap. Or my daily dose of (f/s).

Near: The only thing on TV is about Kira.

You: Yeah, so I guess I'll take a nap.

You hug Near and rest your head on his shoulder and sleep. He tenses up tremendously.

Near: Why are you sleeping on me? Why not sleep on the sofa?

You: Because your soft and the sofa smells like leather. Why, you don't like it?

Near: I feel uncomfortable with human contact.

You: Then go get my pillow. (Roger got you a new one, but you still live in Near's room.)
