Not Friends [Near x reader]

Part 14- The EYES

Trigger warning.

"Matsuda?"

"Yes?"

"Ryuuzaki told you to make the picture, right?"

"Y-Yeah."

"Why is it so glittery and girly?"

"I-Is that a bad thing? I mean, Kira could be a girl, right?"

Sigh. Matsuda.

"Yeah. Nevermind."

"Are you implying you know," L says, tilting his head. "What gender Kira is?"

"Er, no. I just, assumed. Sorry, I know I shouldn't assume anything."

He turns his head back around to watch the script Light Yagami wrote play on television.

"Hey Light, you do a pretty good job playing as Kira." L comments.

"Is that implying something?"

"No. No, not at all."

"Ryuuzaki!" You complain. "We've been watching this every single hour! Nothing's gonna change staring at a TV screen playing the same thing that we wrote ourselves! Let's just take a break an wait until Aizawa comes back with information or mail from Second Kira."

"You may, (J/a)-chan, but I shall stay here and watch this over and over again."

"Ryuuzaki! Ryuzaki! We have a reply from Second Kira! Judging from the handwriting, video tape, and envelope, video quality, and how it was sealed, there's subtle doubts it's not Kira. I'll send you a copy over right now." The L that flashed on L's desktop turns into the gothic letters "Kira" and we all huddle around to hear it.

"Kira, thank you for responding. I will do as you say. I would like to meet you sometime. I don't think you have the eyes, but don't worry. I won't kill you. Please think of a way to meet without the police knowing."

Light looks in a state of panic while Ryuuzaki tries to contemplate what that means.

The eyes? It sounds so familiar...

"We can confirm each other by showing each other our shinigami."

..."A-AAAH!!"

L falls off the chair, gasping over the existence of shinigami. Everybody looks at him confusedly and Light looks shocked beyond meaning.

But your shock was the worse of all.

In retrospect, if you didn't have a creepy flashback, you would've thought Second Kira was a stupid genius. Taking a risk that the police would find her/him by spilling out things only Kira would know, and forcing Kira to meet her or else more secrets would be revealed. Pure idiocy, pure genius.

However, currently you were not in a state of mind.

"Dad? How come I always hear you talk to (S/n) about shinigami and eyes? Your not gonna feed the shinigami her eyes, right?"

"Hahaha, feed the shinigami her eyes? I wouldn't give her eyes up for the world, much less to feed a stupid shinigami! No, she can see what I see. She can see the pain, something you don't understand."
