Near roams the halls of Wammy's again, as he usually does at night, and as usual, he meets a little someone.

(Pseudonym).

Remember her?

Those blue eyes of hers hold no emotion, just like mine. Her hair is really soft, and we have some of the same interests. She is really peculiar and interesting.

No, she's not interesting at all. She's just pretty and acts like me all day.

Near walks by (pseudonym), who is staring out of the window of the hallway, eyes aghast and faraway, almost like she's trying to reach out to the stars.

Stars, huh? I know another girl who's eyes can reach out to another universe.

"Hey Near!" She calls out. "The stars are really pretty today.

"Hey Near? Can you come sit next to me this time instead of walking off?"

Near started to think about all the options he can do and agreed to sit down beside her. She stares at the moon and Near looks at her glistening brown hair. He then looks out the window to notice that clouds near the moon really do have a silver lining.

"Hey Near?" Near tilts his head towards her direction. "What made you like Anything so much?"

Near was not so surprise at this question, given his genius brain and the fact she always looks like she's jealous whenever someone said the word "anything," no mater in what circumstance.

"She was herself. She helped me when no one else would. She played with me without fear when everyone else was staring. Even if she breaks laws and steals possessions, she's nice to have around."

(Pseudonym) clenches her hands in a tight fist. "If I was like that, would you like me too?"

"Possibly, possibly not. You should just be yourself."

"But I want you to like me!"

Near stays silent. (Pseudonym) is on the verge of crying and Near doesn't know what to do except evacuate the situation. He stands up and leaves and (Pseudonym) is crying on the windowsill.

Near heads back towards his room and reads hi crappy room sign he and Anything made together, "Anything can happen if you're Near here."

Should he just move on?

He rips off the sign and opens the door, throwing the sign on the floor.

She was forced to be my friend anyway. None of what she says is actually true.

Though...

Stop, Near. You can't second guess yourself. Your probably never going to see her again, so might as well move on with your life.

But what if she's not?

Near remembers Anything telling him to make more friends and to stop being a loner with his puzzles all the time.

Social interactions are so complicated.

He goes back to where (Pseudonym) was bawling her eyes out. He stood before her sobbing form with an arched back, and agreed to become friends. She smiled and hugged him, her tears splashing onto Near's white pajama top. Near just stands there, unsure of how to act.

After she's done sobbing, she punches his lips with hers with a ferocious kiss, and he falls from the impact. He doesn't kiss back though.
