-Chapter 6-
*Hale's POV*
I awoke to darkness, blackness that seemed to seep into my bones. It felt cold, and smelled musty and damp, like I was underground somewhere.
Feeling the soft sheets under my body calmed me a little, but the sound I heard near me drowned that out with fear.
It was like a mixture of growling and slurping. I suddenly saw a pair of Scarlett red eyes, glowing a few feet from my bed.
I could suddenly see better, like a lamp was turned up, or a candle was lit.
With this light, I saw the room I was seated in. It was made if cold grey stones, dripping with wetness. There was scattered paintings and shelves hung up on the walls, all looking aged.
The paintings, I noticed, looked as if they took place in the Queen Elizabeth stage, like the early 1700's.
I realized that the fabric that I was on was not a bed, but in fact a red velvet couch, with expensive wood finish.
I heard the sound once more, being drawn back out of my observant state. I peered over across the room, where a king sized bed stood, with four posts, and red velvet curtains that were tied back to the posts.
The sheets were slightly ruffled, colored a shiny scarlet red, matching the rooms initial colors of grey, dark brown and Scarlett.
On the bed, laid two people. One was laying down, the other holding the first up, do what seemed like kissing their neck.
I realized that it was a young man, and woman. The boy had dark, curly hair, the girl had long, wavy, dark brown hair.
What caught my eye was the mans eyes. They were glowing. Scarlett red.
He wasn't looking at me, just sitting there, his eyes half shut, with the woman scooped up in his arms.
I heard the slurping, growling noise again, and realized that it was coming from the boy. The woman's head lolled back, exposing her neck. She looked so familiar.
Her eyes closed, and she went limp, the boy pulling away from her body. He laid her down gently, and it was then that I saw it.
There was blood streaming down her neck, onto the blood red coverings. I looked up to meet the same colored eyes, holding me in a trans.
I scanned his face, seeing a small drop if Scarlett liquid in the corner of his mouth. He licked it slowly, cleaning it.
He then moved off the bed, standing next to the right side if it. In his movement, it caused the girls head to move toward me, so I could see her face clearly.
I gasped out loud, covering my mouth with my hand. The boy stood there smirking at me.
It was me.
I was the girl that this predator just attacked.
My eyes traveled back to his, and they had turned to a sparkling green.
It was Harry.
"No... No... Please..." I started to tear up, the fear getting the best of me.
I scrambled off the couch, falling off of it in an ungraceful manner. I let out a gasp when I fell, and met the stone ground with my body.
Scrambling to get up, I started to hear his chuckling, and I got up a little faster.
I ran across the room, to a big wooden door. Seeing the large fire place, I knew where all the light had come from.
The door creaked and jingled, but didn't move a bit. It was locked.
"No! Let me out! Help! Please!" I cried out, banging my fists on the door so hard that it was drawing blood.
I suddenly felt hot breath down my neck, and I closed my eyes. I cried silently, knowing my fate.
He suddenly used all his weight to push me up against the wooden door. My chest was painfully tight against the worn wood.
"Stay calm." He ordered, placing a hand gently on my neck. I suddenly felt calm, and collected.
He let go of my wrists, which were previously pinned to the door, and stepped back.
I slowly turned around and looked up into his eyes. They were an unbelievably beautiful sparkling green.
He took my right hand and lifted it, drawing it closer to his mouth. As I watched, his pupils had red coloring spreading throughout his green eyes.
The red started at the iris, and spread slowly without, like red food coloring in a glass of milk.
I remembered that I had cut my fist banging in the door and felt a twinge of panic again.
"You're really a fighter, aren't you?" He asked, looking up into my eyes.
"Stay calm, don't be afraid." He spoke softly, and I felt no longer scared, or panicked. Almost comforted in a way.
He drew my hand closer to his mouth, and turned it, so my wrist was exposed.
Drawing my hand upward, I was confused as to what he was doing. He licked it once, the length of my fore arm.
And then he bit down. It was a soft bite, that made a quiet popping sound, like when you bite a grape.
It was a dull pain, as I watched a trail of blood leak out of his mouth and down my arm.
I winced as he squeezed my arm harder, and then his "calming effect" wore off.
Letting out a blood curdling scream, I struggled to get out of his grasp, his teeth in my skin growing more painful by the minute.
He pushed my back to the door, and let go of my wrist. He then moved closer, holding my upper arms down, with a strength that I was no where near beating.
He came closer to my face, whatever monster that possessed him taking over completely. He let out a low growl, and leaned into my neck.
"Harry! Harry stop! Please!" I screamed, trying to reach him. But he seemed so distant.
"I... C-can't... S-so... T-t-tempting.." He stuttered, and he was shaking, badly.
Suddenly I felt his hot breath on my neck, and his tongue trailed my vein.
"I'm... So...s-sorry..." He whispered, and I felt the needle sharp fangs pierce my flesh.
My eyelids grew heavy, and I felt the trickle of escaped blood on my neck.
"How... Is this..." I started, but didn't finish. There was no point. Harry was going to kill me, And I couldn't do anything about it.
How was this possible? Everything I've ever known is shattered now. How do I know anything?
I could hear Harry sucking my blood from the inside of my ears, like it was my heartbeat.
Black dots were clouding my vision, and I saw my parents. The accident. The blood.
And I screamed.
"Hale? Hale! Wake up!" I heard Harry calling my name.
No, I can't trust him, he's a monster.
"Ahhhh!" I sat up in my bed, screaming, realizing it was all a dream.
I felt a warm hand on my back, and I turned slowly turned to meet Blazing green eyes.
They eyes of a monster that takes the form of a human. The monster that killed me.
"Get the hell away from me!" I screamed and I grabbed the covers and ran to the other side of the room, pressing myself into the corner.
The hurt I saw in my eyes was horrible. He started to tear up.
I watched guiltily as he walked out of my room, glancing at me when I flinched as he came closer. He sighed before he closed the door.
I just blamed him for a dream! What the heck is going on in my head?
