-Chapter 8-
*Harry's POV*
I saw him standing there. A shadow that I couldn't see the face of. He was tall, with pale skin. His hair fair and dark, at a length just shorter than mine.
What caught my eye was his stare. Burning into my skull, his Scarlett
Eyes told me so much about this man, yet I barely new him.
I could tell he was trouble. And the way he held the gun, it was obvious that he had pointed it at someone before.
I held his gaze for a moment, and then stood up. Making movements not so sudden.
"Who are you?" I asked him. But he just stared at me, his gaze cold and heartless.
"You can't protect her forever, you know. You'll have to tell her at some point." His voice was smooth as he spoke. He smirked at me.
"You don't even know what your talking about." I tried to keep my voice under control, leaning against the couch casually, as if the gesture would help calm me down.
"Oh, but I do. I've been watching. And maybe you won't have to tell her, maybe you'll just loose control instead." He chuckled, the gun still in his hand.
He titled it to the side , pointing it right to my chest.
"Because I know of that desire inside of you. You wish to rip her flesh open, drink every last succulent bit of her blood-"
"No! You don't know anything stranger. So leave." I said, getting angry.
"As you wish." He said, turning to leave, his hair shining from the moonlight coming from the ajar door.
He continued to walk out, but when he reached the door, he tilted his head to the side, still looking out.
"But first, I want her." He said, turning and walking towards the stairs.
"Don't you even dare." I growled, stepping in front of him. He just glared at me, letting out a little chuckle.
"You can't stop me." He smiled, and raised the gun to my heart in a single fast movement. I heard the shot before it hit me.
I felt a pain in my chest, where my heart was. I peered down, instantly putting pressure on it as an instinct.
The bullet had ripped through my back, and hit the wall behind me. Blood poured from my hand, and down my white shirt.
"A little token to remember me by." He finished. My eyesight started to blur, and I fell to my knees, clutching my wound.
He walked up to me, grabbing the collar of my shirt into a tight grip. He pulled me up, so he could whisper in my ear.
"I will get her. You cant hide her from me. I am always watching, in the shadows." And with that, he let me go, and I fell face down onto the hardwood floor, watching him walk out the front door.
**Hale's POV***
"Harry!?" I screamed. Rushing over to him, I dropped the blankets and sprinted over.
I dropped down, and slid on the hardwood floor over to him, kneeling next to him.
"Oh... Oh my... God..." I stuttered. He was face down, one of his hands under his chest.
I quickly grabbed his shoulders and pulled him over, so he was halfway on my knees.
His eyes were closed, his hair strewn all over the place. His white shirt was stained red, and there was a gaping hole in the top left of his chest.
