-Chapter 16-
Thunk.
Rattle.
Thunk.
Rattle.
Thunk.
Rattle.
I awoke to this sound, pounding into my head like a nail of noise. My body felt cold, and that's the only thing I felt besides pain.
Letting out a large groan, I opened my eyes slightly, and rolled from my side and onto my back. My eyes focused slowly, and as I breathed, a puff of white fog appeared out of my mouth.
Thunk.
Rattle.
There is is again. What the hell is that? I scanned the small cold room until I spotted what I heard.
The man. Throwing 5 inch knives at the wall. Each hitting their target. As I looked upwards, everything seemingly upside down from me laying on my back, I saw it.
An old corpse of a girl, someone he had killed presumably, only twenty feet away from me.For it didn't bleed when he hit it, just swayed back and forth a bit from the force of the knife.
She had a giant bite wound on her neck, and she was a greyish colour. Like she had been dead a while. Her eyes were still open, almost black with discolouration.
It horrified me completely. To see a dead girl, knives protruding from her body as she hang from chains that connected to the ceiling.
I let out a muffled cry, and struggled to sit up. The man turned his head slowly toward me, flipping a knife up and down in his left hand. He sat on a box crate, dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt.
My energy was so depleted that I couldn't even sit up right, and I just slumped back, staring at him. He held my eyes in his icy blue stare, and flicked the knife expertly at the corpse.
He wasn't looking, but it hit her evenly in the forehead, causing the chains to vibrate painfully loud. I winced, not wanting to see anymore.
"So here's the deal, little lady. I won't kill you, or Harry, if you do what I say." His eyes narrowed, and he arose from his seat.
He walked towards me slowly, and arrived standing to my right, peering down at me with an almost curious stare.
Before I knew it, I was standing up. He had yanked the front of my shirt upwards, taking me along. I could barely stand on my own.
My neck was on fire, and it was making my head fuzzy from the pain. It felt like he was taking those knives and shoving them deep into the side of my neck.
"I'm guessing that you like my little love bite that I put on you. Feels amazing doesn't it? Like a billion knives stabbing into your throat. And it brings me joy, every time that I see the pain on your face." He said, smirking a nasty, disturbing smirk.
"Lets cut to the chase. You have to agree to these terms if you want to last another day." He spoke coldly, poison prickling in his voice.
I nodded slowly. What else was I supposed to do? Let him kill me? And Harry? I don't think so.
"You're going to attend school, like none of this has happened. And I'm going to be your new exchange student." He smiled, a fake, charming smile. Any girl would fall for it if they didn't know who it was.
I let out a heavy sigh, and replied with a mumbled "Fine."
"Oh!" He exclaimed, suddenly chirpy. "My name is Taylor, by the way. You might as well know, if you're going to be with me for a while now." He smiled and let me go, turning to the door.
