I paced around the room. Liam's room. He was sitting on the couch, watching me. He was ready for anything I said, ready for my mouth to start babbling.
"I can't do it," I stopped, "I can't go. I can't just forgive him like this..." I trailed off. I sat down, right there on the floor. Liam rose from his spot and sat down in front of me.
"You can try" He smiled, lifting up my face to look at him. I returned the smile and fiddled with my fingers. Chipping off the last of the black nail varnish I still had on. Liam was right, I could try to forgive him. Give him a chance to...rekindle the relationship we used to have. But, that was so long ago. 3 years is longer than it seems. When I saw him again for the first time, it was like I was nonexistant to him until then. I was nothing.
"Hey, don't let it get too far into your head. Sure, he screwed up. He is a bastard for that. But, you have to learn how to forgive him. Family is everything to him-"
"What? Excuse me? 'Everything to him'? Did he say that? What a hypocrite! HE ISN'T A FAMILY MAN! HE RUINED MY LIFE!" I yelled, and punched the floor. I felt Liams arms wrap around me and rock me side to side. I wanted to push him off and run out, but I didn't. He was comforting me.
"Not so ruined now is it? You live in Manhatten, you have a job at the most famous Fashion Magazine in the world. You have your brother home. You have me..." He whispered the last part. A lump formed in my throat. He was right, I did have him. I wrapped my arms around his torso and hugged him tighter than ever. Liam...was everything I couldv'e asked for. He listened, He comforted me, He talked to me.
"You're the only star in the dark blue sky..." I said. He released from the hug and smiled at me.
"Did you come up with that?"
"I did" I said, scrunching up my nose. He poked my crinkly nose and laughed.
"Absolutley Brilliant" He whispered and leaned down to kiss me. His lips were...slightly chapped, but perfect. He went no deeper than a lengthy peck. Which I appreciated. I hated a man who would try to go to far, too fast. I gave him one more kiss before realizing something.
"I need to check something can I use your laptop?" I asked him, standing up.
"Uh yeah. That was an abrupt change of subject but I'm into it." He chuckled. I did a fake 'ha ha' laugh and woke up his Mac. I logged onto my email and refreshed the inbox. 1 email from Diane. 1 email from my friend, Camilla and 3 from Editing. I opened Dianes first.
Beatrice,
I have an idea. I was wondering if you could help me? The models are doing the Tory Burch shoot and I needed some music for the video I'm shooting. How good is your voice? I heard that famous boyband singer is your brother. There must be some song in your blood that you need to show. Also, I need the lookbook for the Fall shoot on my desk, A week from today. Gabrielle, or "Gabby" as you call her, told me you were already halfway done. Let me know.

"Can you sing? he asked from behind me, making me jump. I didn't answer because I didn't want him to know. I could sing, but the only person who new about it was my mom.
"Will you sing for me?"
"No." I stood up and walked over to his bed, flopping down face first. I felt the bed dip next to me and I peeked sideways.
"Why not, I mean, having Niall as your brother you can't be bad. I bet you have the voice of an angel." He nuzzled into my neck and began tickling my sides.
"NO! Don't tickle..Stop! Liam!" I was cracking up. It hurt like a mofo. He just kept going till he had successfully flipped me onto my back. He finally stopped after I started wheezing.
"You okay, love?" He went serious. I nodded then smirked. His eyes widened and I pounced. I was straddling him and tickling his stomach. His voice was so high pitched, It could've been higher than mine. I stopped and layed down next to him. He smiled at me and kissed my nose.
"Don't ever tickle me again, cause I will unleash my Batman abilities and take. you. DOWN!" His voice went all low as he tried to sound like Batman himself. I was unphased.
"Fine. I'll sing for you" I said, turning my gaze to the high ceiling.
"What?" I heard him say from beside me.
"Grab a guitar from Niall's room and I'll show you." I sat up and walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I stared into the mirror, gazing at the girl who looked just like me. I had never sung in front of anyone except my mum before. I heard the door outside open the close and I knew he was gone. I paced around the bathroom, trying to calm myself down. Trying to tell myself it was okay. The door opened and closed again. I was ready. I was ready to sing.
"Hand me the guitar" I said, walking over to the couch and sitting down. I felt the wood and took a deep breathe. I glanced at Liam for reassurance, he smiled and put his chin in his hands like a little kid. And then I began...
