While the boys were performing, Gabby and I hung out with the 5SOS boys. Gabby had Lux on her lap and was showing her funny videos. I was sitting next to Michael and strumming his guitar.
“So, are we all going out for ice creams after this?” Ashton asked, messing with Luke’s hair. I nodded and continued strumming a random tune I made up.
“You’re pretty good, do you sing?” Calum asked, coming over and sitting on my other side.
“Yeah. I sang a song for a fashion show a couple weeks ago.” I continued, not looking up from the guitar. Everything went silent. I stopped and looked up. Everyone was staring at me. I got the point.
“Oh, you want me to sing?” They all nodded in sync. I shrugged and sang an acoustic version of the boys song, “Kiss you”. When I finished they all stared at me. I set down the guitar and nodded.
“I guess that means singing runs in the family.” Ashton spoke up. I could hear the boys finished up their 4th song and I decided to go and watch them from the side stage. I could hear them beginning their next song and I sat down in the alcove, cross-legged. They have come so far since the X-Factor. They didn’t even know each other when it started. Now they are like brothers and can’t bare being apart from one another for more than a couple days. I gazed up at Liam. He was wearing a tank and a black NCSU snapback for all the North Carolina girls. He was a little sweaty but I understood why, it was blazing hot up there. He looked over at me and smiled. Then he did the unexpected…he for me to come over. I widened my eyes and shook m head. He laughed and waved again. I pointed to myself and mouthed “NO”. He was crazy to think I would actually go up there. He walked over, still singing, and gently tugged me up off the ground. I tried to stay put but…he was a lot stronger than me. I scuttled after him onto the center of the stage and almost fainted. So many people, so many lights, so many faces. The screaming got louder when they realized who I was.
“And let me kiss you!” Liam sang. He put his strong arm around my waist and pecked my lips. The screaming grew even louder. I saw one girl flip me off from the front row. I just smiled and waved. I didn’’t even realize Gabby had been pulled onto the stage too. My breathing was getting short and my vision was blurring. I felt faint. I told Liam I needed to breathe a little bit and he kissed me one last time before I left the stage. Once I was off I ran to the dressing room. I had never been so scared in my life. Liam knew I had really bad stage fright. I collapsed onto the couch and downed a bottle of water. Lou ran in and sat down beside me.
“I saw what happened, are you okay? Do you need more water? Breathe, just breathe.” She attempted to calm me, rubbing my back. I couldn’t breathe. I was wheezing. Next thing I knew, my head was hitting a pillow.
