I read in the boy’s dressing room while they performed in Philly. I’m glad I was wearing comfortable clothes. I didn’t want too watch them, It wasn’t that exciting. Lou came in, about halfway through, and introduced me to Lux. She was beautiful, Lux, I now knew why all the boys were wrapped around her little finger. We played on her little scooter and I read her a little children’s book. Eventually she had to change her nappy and go down for a nap, so I wandered around the backstage and talked to random people. I chatted with Paul about all the fans and how he kept himself sane. He just used the “I’m used to it” card. I heard the thousands of screaming girls getting louder as I got to the side of the stage. I could see the boy being goofs, doing funny things while they performed each song. That’s what made them special, they didn’t choreograph every single movement, and they just went with the flow and did whatever they wanted on stage but still did what they were told. I wandered back to the boy’s dressing room but was surprised to see 4 boys in there.
“Oh shit. How did you get back here? How did you get past security?” Asked one with really white, quaffed hair. He had an Australian accent. I looked behind me, thinking he was talking to someone else.
“Um, where you talking to me?” I asked, pointing to myself. They looked to one another and stared at me. They whispered things to each other and nodded their heads.
“Aren’t you a fan? How did you…get past Paul?” A dark haired one asked. I couldn’t tell what his ethnicity was, like Hawaiian or Asian.
“Oh I’m not a fan. I’m Beatrice!” I stuck my out and smiled. One with dirty blonde, quaffed hair shook my hand and stood up.
“Okay…so what are you?” He asked. I stared at them and giggled. They really didn’t know. Niall didn’t tell them? None of the guys told them?
“I’m Niall’s sister…?” I confirmed, rubbing my arm out of habit. I swear every single one of their jaws dropped open at the same time.
“I’m Luke Hemmings”
“Calum Hood” said the dark haired one. I shook their hands.
“Michael Clifford”
“And I’m Ashton Irwin”
They smiled and sat back down. I saw a sticker on a guitar Michael was holding. It read “5 Seconds of Summer” another said “5SOS”. I’m guessing they were a band. Probably the band that opened up for 1D.
“I’m surprised Niall never mentioned me. Actually no, I’m not surprised. He forgot about me for three years then just kind of reappeared a couple weeks ago.” I rambled. I was getting angry again.
“Wow, he really forgot about you? Is that even possible to forget about your own sister?” Ashton asked. I nodded and rolled my eyes. We talked for a while, about the tour and ourselves. Soon the concert was over and the screaming of hormonal teenagers had died down. I could hear them congratulating themselves. I waved goodbye to the Aussie boys and ran out to the backstage area. We did the “AYE” thing and ran into a group hug. Gabby was hugging Niall and kissing him. I broke apart from the group and kissed Liam on the cheek.
“You guys were amazing. Congratulations on your first show.” Lou scurried in, hugging each boy. Lux was on Julian’s shoulders cracking up at Harry making a Vine of her. The 5SOS boys returned, talking to the lads. It was all one big group of testosterone. Eventually we just packed up everything and got back on the buses. Aussies on one, 1D on the other. I changed into sweats and climbed onto my bunk. It was one in the morning by the time we finished up and got back. All I wanted to do was sleep. I had just closed my eyes when I felt someone’s arms on my waist, pulling me off the bunk. It wasn’t a yank, just a slow pull. I groaned rather loudly.
“Come on, we’re going to 7-11 to get Slurpees! Come with us, please!” Louis whined. I knew it was him before I even heard his voice. I groaned again. I was exhausted; it had been a long day.
“Yeah, babe, come on! We’re celebrating!” Liam walked over and kissed my cheek. He interlocked his fingers with mine and gave me the puppy dog eyes. I couldn’t resist his eyes.
“Fine. But I want to sleep so I’m getting a kids size!’” I groaned slipping on my batman slippers. Liam had bought them for me a couple days ago.
“YEAH! SLURPEE PARTY” Harry screamed, jumping out of the bus. I laughed and walked hand in hand with the lads. They were my best friends, I couldn’t resist it.
