The truck was filled with many screens, one had a map of the entire city and others you were able to see through the traffic cameras. The people in charge of it were not newbies at purging, at all Allison knew that for sure.

"This is some high-tech shit. Yo, somebody spent a lot of money trying to do some heavy-duty Purging. Look at this. They're accessing the city's traffic cams. Looking for targets, I guess." Cali explained as she looked at the screens.

"Traffic cams are controlled by the government. How did they get into these? I mean, who are these people?" Liz said.

"Maybe you just answered your own question." Cali replied. "They must have hacked into them, it's technically not that hard I've done it before." Allison said as she typed somethings into a computer screen.

"And I just did it right now." She continued. Allison moved out of the way so they could see what she had done and there it was, they could now see through 4 more traffic cameras in the city.

"Hacking property of the government, I wonder if I should be impressed or worried for your safety." Cali said nonchalant.

"I agree." Leo's boomed through the truck before he want back to looking at one of the computer screens.

"Look at this. Seventh Street. Is that your building?" Leo asked Eva.

"Yeah, but why is it all red?" She asked.

"You're being targeted for something, along with all these other buildings. Here, here. All over the city. All around the projects." Leo said as he trailed his finger throughout the screen pointing to the buildings that were lit up in red.

"Maybe you were right, Cali." Eva said looking at her daughter.

"Look, I'm telling you, this is the New Founding Fathers. The government..."

"The truck is fucked." Shane said before Cali could finish her sentence.

"No good?" Leo asked.

"No, the engine's all blown out or something." Shane replied.

"Hey, look at this." Cali called out. Allison stood next to her and saw a few feet away on a brick wall the NFFA flag crossed out, a big 'X' was over it with red spray paint. Carmelo, she thought.

"That's Carmelo's mark, Mom. I told Papa he was the real deal. His group took these fuckers out." Cali explained to her mother.

"Everybody got a weapon?" Leo asked. Before Allison could nod another huge truck made it's way towards them making everyone's heads shoot up.

"Hey, grab this. Take the weapon. Go. Go! Go!" Leo exclaimed. "Oh, shit, there's another one. Looks like an army." Shane said. Barely realizing the giant truck headed towards them.

The group jogged quietly through the dark alley, Allison was surprised that her arrows weren't making the 'clink' sound as she ran. Which was a good thing because the most important key to staying alive on The Purge was to be silent and alert.

Everyone stopped at the end of the alley, a bonfire was lit up yards away from the alley, drunk men could be heard breaking things and shouting.

The group was pressed up against the brick wall, quiet not to make any noise. But the silence was soon disturbed. A rat squeaked as it tried to go up Liz's leg she shrieked, kicking a can in the process. Everyone looked at her in disbelief, waiting to be executed or just simply waiting for their fate they stood paralyzed with fear and anxiety.
