James: You (this is meant to be James' towards Lily, you know when she "wasn't interested." This song is all about being in pain and your heart breaking because you love someone that you can't have/doesn't want you back. We all have had someone/have someone that we want nothing more then to reach out and say,"I love you, so love me back." But sadly, it doesn't work that way. Someone (James) loves a person for all they are, flaws and everything, but the other person (Lily) doesn't feel the same way/doesn't see it. "You don't want me, no. You don't need me. Like I want you, oh, like I need you." James loves Lily and needs her in his life, while Evans doesn't like him. "You can't see me, no, like I see you. I can't have you, no, like you have me." James sees Lily as the most beautiful girl in the world, but she sees James as an annoying little twat; Lily has James stuck in love and wanting to be with her so badly, but James can never have that same effect on her, and he knows it. "I can't steal you, no, like you stole me." Evans stole James' heart, and he'll never be able to do the same to her, no matter how many cheesy -but adorable- pickup lines he uses, no matter how grand the gesture, he'll never have her heart like she has his.)

Sirius: Sorry About Your Parents (Sirius' family was horrible to him, well, his parent's anyways, and then you have his cousin, Bellatrix, go and kill him. So, yeah, poor Sirius, his family... sucked. "I guess your mama didn't know the gift she got when she got you." When Sirius got sorted into Gryffindor, his family kinda disowned him, and his mother mistreated him, and she never saw him for his full potential as a wizard because he wasn't a Slytherin just like the rest of his family. "Bending over backwards, never good enough." Sirius tried, he really did, but his family wouldn't have any of it. He wasn't good enough. "That's no way to live," your family should love you, not beat you down, especially a wizarding family, i understand that he's a pure blood and they 'have to be Slytherin' but the sorting hat chooses by what you value most, it wasn't his fault. "You were mistreated and cheated out of the childhood you needed. And now you'll ever succeed if you're so convinced you're defeated. If you're obsessed with your yesterday then you're destined to repeat it." Sirius, I would say, was cheated out of his childhood, I bet his parents were so focused on his house and blaming him, calling him names and stuff and he never got to be a kid, I feel like he would be raised similarly to Draco. I bet Sirius thought that he'll never succeed, even though we saw him as a confident adult, I'm sure when he was a kid and probably a teenager that he felt like he couldn't ever succeed, because he was so defeated by the people that were supposed to love him the most; and if he's so obsessed with what happened then he would definitely not overcome it.)

Remus: (I couldn't decide with Remus, these two songs describe him so well. I was going to use 'Unwell' by Matchbox 20, but I feel like that's over used.)

{This first one (Think I'm Sick), really makes me think of Remus, because it just describes his Llycanthropy. Especially when it says 'Resist at first and then immerse,' because Remus always tries to fight against turning but he always has to. "Life's a war, you pick your fight, I think mine picks me first most nights." Remus can't control himself on a full moon, other people get to pick their fights in life, but for little Remus here, he doesn't, his life takes control over him, he can't do anything but let it. "Years of struggle still ahead, all the trouble in my head. I wish I were good instead." He'll have to deal with this until he dies, he'll always have it, it's so much trouble, he just wishes that it hadn't had happened. He is a good man, however he just sees himself as this horrible, disgusting creature, he sees himself as bad, but we all know he's not. This song just reminds me so much of Lupin.}

[This song (Hope of Morning) also makes me think of Remus, especially once it starts the chorus; 'When the hope of morning starts to fade in me, I don't dare let darkness have its way with me. And the hope of morning makes me worth the fight, I will not be giving in tonight.' It's very different than the first song because this makes me think of him actually trying to fight what he's becoming. And especially when it says "My disorder can't be cured by a bottle, blade, or dose.' Because his parents tried to cure him and make him 'normal' but there is no cure. One more thing, well two more, when it says "I don't want to let you see that, I don't want my friends to know." It's Lupin keeping his secret, and not wanting to be anymore of an outcast as he already is, he doesn't want to hurt the ones he loves. Last comment, when she sings/repeats 'Don't make me say it' seven times, I see that as him telling himself not to say it and pleading with the other person when they ask "What's wrong".]

Lucius: Iodine (I don't know how to describe why this song fits Lucius, every time I hear this, I think of him, especially the second verse when it says 'I sabotage all the good I've got left,' which to me, really describes Lucius and his decisions [well, how he raised Draco, anyway] also when she sings; 'I realize, I'm destroying my life. I do this to myself, I do this to myself. Stop blaming someone else, we do this to ourselves.' this makes me think of Lucius and his thoughts on following the Dark Lord, when everyone was 'pressured by their parents' you didn't protest; you could've been like Regulus and told Voldy you didn't want to follow him, I mean, sure you would've died I guess that's a better fate than being sent to Azkaban for following him; so truly they are the only ones at fault for messing up their lives.)

Severus: Watch Me (Severus' theme was a little harder to pick but I used this one because, when I heard it I thought nothing of it but then after listening to some of the parts more closely I thought of Severus, when I listened to the beginning 'You hear what you want, but you never wanted me,' I thought of him and Lily, like, from what I can assume, his feelings for her were clearly evident, but she wanted James so she didn't really see poor Sev. And when I heard 'I am not afraid to fall, you can watch me lose it all. I'll get it wrong, 'til I get it right.' It really made me think of Snape, because I see him as the type of person to lose everything and not really care because as long as he's doing what's right, he knows he's good. I don't see him as a bad guy, I truly see him as a good guy. Also 'The worst mistake you'll ever make is trying to blend,' Snape, surely does stand out from everyone else, never being one to blend in really, always standing out and being cool. (well not in the eyes of James and them, but certainly in my eyes.)
