So it was then. Barbara killing Ruth all because of jealousy and her pride for not loosing what she loves. Of course not a soul, but Willy, can say that it was her. It would take a good lawyer to make sure that Barbara was indeed proven guilty.
Barbara
What a relief it is to know that Ruth is heading to the next train station at this time along with her baby. How sad. A baby having to pay the debt of his mother. Oh well, too late and too sad.
The car wheels spined all the way until they came to a stop at the Baudelaire mansion. Barbara walked to the door and entered. Beth stood by the coach holding the telephone in her hand. Her face was in fright and at the same time, it held sadness within the expressions of being worried.
Barbara noticed the face. Could it be that they know about Ruth already?
"Oh my! Please keep me informed if she appears soon." Beth set down the phone and looked over at Barbara.
"What's the matter mum?" Barbara inched closer to her mother.
"Well if you would have been here or at least picked up your phone they you would know what is happening! Have you not heard? Ruth is missing! No one has heard of her since this morning!"
"What? What do you mean by missing? I'm sure she's okay, I mean she is pregnant."
"That is the reason why we are worried about her! May I ask where have you been all day?"
"Oh please mother, I'm sure you don't want to listen about what I was doing at the hotel with this hot French guy."
"Enough!!! There is no way I raised you to be such a disgrace to the family. My only girl has turned into the worst slut here in England!"
"Oh please, don't give me that bullshit! You raised me to be loved by as many men as I want. Cha lala."
Barbara undressed and dipped into her hot tub. She let herself relax. The steam rose from the water without any hesitation. The tranquil time was very quite and pleasing to her. After a hard day of work, she needed to treat herself to this. She sipped on a cold glass of cherry wine. Her lips tasted the sweet and gentle touch of dark chocolate.
Jared got home before Barbara was out of the tub. She could hear her brother talking to Victoria.
"I've been looking for her all day. There is no news about her. Her phone is off and we don't know where she went after she was finished seeing the doctor. It's all so voyage."
Aye. Not a soul can find the little bitch. Barbara dressed in her robes and went to see her brother David who was in his office taking large shots of whiskey. The room was dim and blue. It was in a terrible mess. Barbara stepped in front of where David was sitting. It pained her to see her brother in such a state. This was by the far the man that she knew. The days seemed to never become any better. The man of the house was into his breaking point and the so was the family.
