The first thing I noticed was my breathing. It was slow, deep like I was asleep.

The next was the loss of memory, who was I? Where was I?

Suddenly, it felt like a switch. I knew where I was, but I don't have a name. How's that possible, images of things entered my mind, but it felt like I had never seen them before.

How's that possible?

I forced my eyes open, they felt like they were glued shut for so, so long. I don't know why, but I looked slightly up instead of left or right.

It paid off, there were these white things with glowing red horns up there. I don't know why, I just knew they were inside my head. That's a big no, no in my book.

So what do I do? I concentrate and force them out of course. They squeaked as their red horns stopped glowing and I struggled against the straps against my wrist.

But I paused, I took a deep breath and relaxed my body against the leather restraints. Slowly, my hands had more room to move around and I was able to slip them off.

I quickly unfasten the one around my small body and then my legs. Before I knew it, my instincts were having me run with a lot of speed (Which I think was actually pretty fast but not as fast as The Flash of course).

I paused wondering who The Flash was and it made me falter my next step. I almost crashed to the ground, like this was my first time running.

I shook my head and forced myself forward. My eyes widened as people in white uniforms, like lab coats, got in my way.

Instead of slowing down, it seemed everything else slowly stopped. Without much thought, I slid under one of the people's legs and quickly kept running past them.

The second group of guards seemed more like guards, they had batons and handcuffs but that wasn't a problem.

I grabbed one of the dudes' batons before he knew it and hit him over the head. I was holding it much like a sword but that was a thought for another time.

I yelped when one of the men stepped on my bare feet but clenched my teeth and punched the guy in the nose.

The other three got off just a bit luckier, I flipped one of them and the other two ran into each other trying to catch me.

My breath was heavy. My feet were growing tired. My eyes were getting unfocused. What's wrong with me?

Suddenly the ground was much closer than before. My nose hurt but I didn't notice. I did notice when my vision went black and I was suddenly elsewhere.

-------------------------------

The new surroundings didn't feel like much assurance. At least I didn't have the restraints, I didn't like them.

Instead of pulling my legs toward my body and getting scared, I pushed those emotions away and instead stood on wary and tired legs that threatened to fall with my next step.

That just made me even more determined to find an exit. I slowly searched through the brick walls that surrounded me and especially the iron-barred door.

I had just gotten to the back of the room when the iron door swung open making me startled and turn toward whoever just entered.

I narrowed my eyes, "Who the fuck are you?" I threatened as my feet slid just an inch out and my body turned slightly, I was ready for an unexpected attack.

The man that stood in front of me was weird, he had this orange and black mask on, swords were on his back, and altogether looked very threatening.

He stepped into my room and with each step the silence threatened me to just charge the man as my breath went slower and slower, anticipating.

He stopped in the middle of the room, I hadn't moved an inch but was watching him like a hawk.

"You've surprised me, Young One." The man said finally, his hands were behind his back and his shoulders tense as he stared at me with cold, dead eyes.

"Clearly you're deaf, you the fuck are you?" I asked menacingly, or at least I thought I was menacing.

Before I even knew what happened, my arm was twisted painfully behind my back as I was on the ground, mouth in the heart-clenching my teeth from the pain.

"I will not be spoken to like that." The man growled and pulled my arm back for emphasis pulling it badly, I bit into my lip from making a sound.

"Do we understand one another?" The man whispered in my ear making my shoulders tense and making the pain worse that I barely hid a groan.

"Understood," I said my teeth clenched together from the pain.

"Good." The man said letting my arms go instantly and moved toward the middle of the room.

I got up quickly and made sure I kept my eye on him again, he was fast I'll give him that. I rubbed my arm trying to help the arm and couldn't handle the "Fucker." that went out of my mouth in a mutter that was barely even heard from me.

A resounding smack was heard throughout the room, my face was once more in the dirt, this time it had a red handprint on its cheek.

I stood frozen and just stared at the man in shock, it stung and tears threatened the spill, but I was more shocked than anything to really react to the pain.

"Don't try that again." The man said dangerously like he hadn't just hit a little girl.

I swallowed a bit nervously, thinking about my next move, I nodded slowly and stood back up and watched the very dangerous man.

The man himself was staring at me, "What's your name?" He asked and my mind went blank. How could I not know my own name? What's wrong with me?

"Don't know," I said and wished I was in jeans so I could stuff my hands in the pockets of them.

"Think of one. I'm your new master, you will call me Master. Do we understand one another?"

I almost shrugged but the small pain in my cheek reminded me otherwise, "Yes...Master." I said quietly hating the name on my tongue; suddenly like fate, a name popped in her head.

"You can call me Percie, short for Persephone. May I ask your name, Master?" I said the last part slowly, still testing out the name I so much despised of my new 'Master'.

The man stood straight and stared down at me, completing, "My name is Slade, or as you will so call me in the field, on missions, Deathstroke." The man said and then turned his back toward me like I was nothing and walked toward the door.

It wasn't until he stopped at the doors and tilted his head slightly, "Let's go little Accomplice, you have much to learn both about yourself and your mission."

I quickly followed my new 'master' happy to get out of that brick-walled room. I hated the nickname though.
