~Prologue~"Run."
"I am."
"Well run faster," he growls. I don't answer him and continue to run through the forest. With only a back-pack that contains a few of my items.
It's November, it's SNOWING, and I'm cold! I've been running for what feels like forever, and after awhile I spaced out, trying to ignore the burning in my chest, legs, and feet. All of my emotions have been pushed back, and although my chest burns like hell, it feels oddly hollow.
"Stop being a wuss and focus," the voice says. Yes there's an actual voice in my head that won't go away. I'm crazy I swear. "FOCUS!"
I groan and jump over a log, then dodge a tree, all while I run in a zig zagged pattern. It's good that my father trained me for moments like this. Why you ask? I have no fucking clue.
"AXEL!"
"WHAT?!" I hit something hard, before falling down, and I groan in pain.
"Oh," I mutter out loud to myself.
"Yeah 'oh', get up." I push myself up immediately and look around, then take off running again. Behind me I hear loud thumps from some type of animal's paws hitting the ground and inhuman growls. I run into an open meadow and stop about half way through, completely out of breath. I look behind me and sigh in relief when I don't see anything.
I need to keep going, I know I do, but my whole body's aching and I so desperately crave to chug a couple gallons of water before collapsing.
I tense and snap my head up when I hear deep threatening growls from the tree line. About five wolves walk into view, but they don't look like an average wolf. No, these wolves are much larger, and have bright red eyes that are daring you to attack them.
Shit! This is it, I'm going to die.
They're crouched low and look like they're about to pounce on me. Just as they start to, a group of equally intimidating growls come from behind me. I jerk around to see six more wolves, the same size, but these ones don't have the eerie red eyes. They're looking at the wolves who are about to attack me while growling.
They're protecting me? Good wolves, and bad wolves? Wow I am crazy. No, maybe they want to be the ones to eat me. That seems like the most reasonable explanation.
I shake my head, while stumbling back and I trip over my feet. My back hits the freezing snow, and I hit my head on what I'm assuming is a rock.
I'm going die... this is how I'm going to die, a bunch of huge ass wolves are going to eat me.
"Get up," he growls.
The world starts spinning and I feel like I'm going to vomit. My eyelids get heavy, and they start to droop.
"Axel no. Get up, you have to."
I try to push myself up, but in doing so my hand slips and I fall back, hitting my head again. I hiss in pain, and laugh bitterly.
Although everything inside me is telling me to get up and run, the darkness that's framing my vision and closing in on me seems more inviting. I have nothing more to live for anyways.
I let out a heavy sigh and the last thing I hear before everything goes black, is growls and the sound of flesh tearing.

A/NFist off, this is my first boyxboy book. I love reading them, and it's pretty much the only type of book I'll read.
Secondly, if you comment I'll answer if necessary. If you have any questions you can also private message me, and I'll answer. Hell, you can private message me just because.
I use models to portray my characters. In no way do my characters and the models have any type of connection.
Oh! And please, please don't copy my work.
So yeah... I hope you like the book as much as I did writing it.
