Chapter 14
~Christmas shopping!~
"Axel, there you are," Mike sighs while throwing his hands up, as he walks into the living room. I'm watching TV with Jackson. I just got off work, and Jackson wanted to show me some anime so I of course agreed.
Mike walks over to the couch and crosses his arms. He's fully dressed, in a pair of jeans, and a beige knitted sweater under a coat. He's wearing snow boots and a beanie, so I'm assuming he's leaving.
"I'm going to go Christmas shopping, wanna come?" He asks while clasping his hands in front of him. I smile and nod, then stand up.
"Yeah, sure," I answer. Jackson stands up and hugs Mike tightly. He looks up at Mike, resting his chin against his chest.
"Can I come daddy?" Mike rolls his eyes, then pushes him back down on the couch.
"Nice try, but no. Axel get your shoes on. I have to leave before Jeremy wants to come. I swear he's like a child, touches everything in the store, and complains about wanting to go home, yet he always wants to come." He huffs, then motions for me to hurry.
I run upstairs, grab my wallet, phone, extra money, Christmas list and a pen. I slip my shoes on then do the same with my Jacket. I go back downstairs where I meet Mike in the foyer, and we go outside and get into his truck, before taking off. I unfold the list and scan it.
"What's that?" Mike asks.
"A Christmas list," I say without looking up.
"You don't have to buy anything for-"
"Well I am," I cut him off. "I want to, I really do. I love getting things for people." He smiles sweetly at me, before patting my shoulder.
"What should I get Sebastian though?" Mike glances at me, then back at the rode and shrugs.
"Anything that has to do with sports. He gets that from Jeremy—liking sports. I just find that so weird. Why would you want to run around with sweaty guys in tights and tackle them? Ooh wait, maybe that doesn't sound so bad... Just kidding. If Jeremy heard me say that, fuck I'd be in trouble. Shh, let's keep that a secret." I chuckle and he smiles.
"I'd suggest a new bag. A sports bag. I've been meaning to get him a new one, but if you want you can. He likes purple and teal colors, which is so weird." I shake my head while laughing just as we park on the side of the street, in front of a line of shops.
"Okay... are you ready?" I nod and we get out of the truck. We go into one of the stores and start looking. Mike of course, ends up buying a crap load of stuff. He literally is getting everyone in the pack something.
We go to a couple of other stores. While Mike is looking around, I spot an old vintage store across the street.
Perfect.
"Hey Mike, I'll be right back."
He nods, not even looking at me. I make my way to the door, and push it open. The cold air hits my face, making me shiver. I look both ways, before running across the street. I open the door to the shop and walk in, then scan the shop that has a lot of interesting items. I walk around the store, until I find just what I'm looking for; a vintage camera.
