Rejection Does Hurt

New Boy

Alexis POV:

I left my room about two minutes after Drake did. I saw Chloe, Drake and Kyle in the living room watching television.

"Chloe, wanna go to the mall with me?" I asked Chloe. She looked at me and smiled, "Duh! Let's go!"

I grabbed my purse and said bye to Kyle and Drake. Chloe and I waited arrive at the bus stop.

"Ugh! When is this stupid bus coming?" Chloe exclaimed. Chloe hates waiting and she loves the mall, so she's obviously annoyed.

"It's coming right now." I answered her. The bus stopped and we got on. I swiped my metro card and sat down.

It took about 10 minutes to arrive at the bus stop right in front of the mall. Chloe and I ran out of the bus and into the mall.

"Where shall we go first?" Chloe asked looking around. The mall was huge and the clothes were nice!

"Um..I'm hungry, let's get something to eat first." I told her. I really wanted to go to the pretzel shop. The pretzels there are good!

I walked towards the pretzel shop and saw a young, teenager boy about 16. He had hazel eyes, light brown hair and he looked really built.

Chloe and I looked at each other and smiled. She texted me real fast while we were waiting on line.

Chloe: that boy who is taking the orders is hot! <3 !

Me: yess ikr! <3_<3 damn!

Chloe: you guys should totally go out!

Me: what? i don't even know him lol.

Chloe: oh you will. ;)

I know you're probably thinking was the line that long? We just type really fast when we see a cute boy.

I eyed Chloe and she smirked at me. I wonder what this girl is going to do.

It was our turn next to order and the boy turned around. Ooh his name is Brandon!

"Hey, what wo---" Brandon looked at me and Chloe. Chloe looked at the ground and smiled to herself.

"I'm so sorry, haha, what would you guys like?" Brandon blushed. Aww a guy blushed! So cute!

"Can I get a cinnamon pretzel please?" I told him and smiled. Brandon nodded and turned around to get the pretzel. He took out a pen and wrote something on a piece of paper and attached it to our bag.

"Here you go, guys." he looked at me and handed me my bag with my pretzel. I looked at the paper and smiled at him.

"Call me?" he asked shyly and bit his lip. Awwwe this dude is too cute! I nodded and blushed. Chloe waved goodbye and we walked away.

"Oooh! Somebody has a crush on you!" Chloe teased. I smiled at the ground.

"See I have the power of making people fall in love without even talking!" Chloe said.

"Yeah, how'd you do that?" I asked her. Chloe is one really weird girl, but that's why I love her.

"I have my ways." she said confidently. We walked around for a little while and went to different stores. I called Kyle to pick us up because we weren't going on the bus with these bags.

Kyle picked us up about 30 minutes after I called him and driving is only 10 minutes away.

"What took you so long!?" I yelled at him. Chloe and I stuffed our bags in the car and sat in the backseat.

"I was doing stuff. I do have a life, you know?" Kyle replied. I sighed and buckled up. Drake was in the passengers seat texting someone.

Nobody was talking because Kyle was focused on the rode, Drake was texting and Chloe fell asleep because of the traffic. I decided I might text Brandon.

Me: hey, it's the girl from the pretzel shop.

Brandon: oh hey haha, what's up?

Me: not much. just driving back home. you?

Brandon: same. I have tons of homework to do. I never got to ask you, what's your name?

Me: It's Alexis haha. Yours in Brandon I'm assuming, right?

Brandon: I like your name and yup. how old are you?

Me: thank you haha ;) and I'm 15. you?

Brandon: me too :)

Me: ^_^ cool.

Brandon: you're a very beautiful girl.

Me: awwe thank you (:

Brandon: I mean it.

I think I like Brandon. Oh gosh. This isn't good..I don't want to get rejected again. He called me beautiful though, so he might not reject me! I'll wait until he'll ask me out first.

I sighed and smiled. Drake turned around. "Why you so happy?" he smiled at me.

"Oh nothing..." I replied and smiled at the ground. I couldn't stop smiling.

Drake eyed me. "Tell me!" he ordered and laughed.

I looked up. "There's this cute boy at the mall and he said I'm beautiful." I blushed.

Kyle pulled over and turned around. "What boy?!" he exclaimed.

"Relax..and his name is Brandon. He gave me his phone number and we were just texting." I told Kyle.

"Let me see the text messages." Kyle said to me and stuck his hand out for me to hand him my phone.

"No, I just said hi and that's all." I lied.

Kyle took my phone and hacked into my iPhone. I really need to change my password!

"Give it back!" I whined and reached over to get it. Drake grabbed my hands and told Kyle to pass it to him when he was done.

Since when is Drake concerned about my love life?

Kyle handed him my phone and Drake rolled his eyes at it.

"That's so stupid." Drake said and handed me back my phone.

"What?" I asked him. Is he jealous?

Drake's POV:

I read Alexis' text messages to that boy he met and for some reason I got angry. I mean, it was just yesterday I rejected her and now she suddenly likes a new guy? Are you kidding me?

I feel so angry and jealous...I think I like Alexis...

Wait...

I think I like Alexis.
