As I approached my locker, I felt someone's gaze on me. I turned around, only to find Lily and Jackson talking.
Except they weren't talking, they were shouting.
I walked closer to them, hidden behind a crowd of people and listened in. I felt guilty for listening into their conversation but I couldn't resist.
As I have said before, I was a nosy little shit.
"You knew all along and you didn't tell her! What the hell is wrong with you?" I heard Jackson scream.
"Because I fucking liked him, that's why I broke up with you!" She replied as the crowd around them gasped. They literally gasped and it was pretty fucking hilarious.
Oh. That made sense.
"You're unbelievable. I wouldn't have done the stupid plan if I knew," He sighed.
What plan?
"Oh yeah, how could I forget about that? You used my best friend so you could get information about me! I didn't think you were that desperate," Lily spat. "You probably still hate her just as much as you did when we dated."
Well, that's fucking nice to know.
"I never hated her, we just had our differences," He started, "And I wasn't aiming to get information about you. I just wanted to know if you ever cared about me in the first place!"
And then, he stormed off leaving me and everyone as confused as ever.
I was shocked, to say the least. But I wasn't angry at Jackson, I was angry at Lily.
She hid it from me.
She hit the truth about the incident.
She hid the fact that she dated Jackson.
She hid that she had a crush on Ryan Brown when I did.
As I couldn't stand there and do nothing for any longer, I marched over to Lily- demanding to know everything.
When I approached her, she winced. She looked at me with those pretty blue eyes of hers, guilt written all over her face.
"Thanks for being here for me these past 3 weeks," I grunted, as she finally made eye contact with me.
"I just felt too guilty! I should have told you that I knew who the person was but I liked him and I didn't want to accept it." She replied, wiping her tears away.
"I mean it's not like it was important, right? It's not like he forced himself on me!" I half shouted and walked away, leaving her in disbelief.
Many people walked away from her that day.
Including me, her best friend and I wasn't planning on coming back for a while.
I needed time to get back to my senses.
