~Mr.Hall's POV~
What is wrong with that girl? She barely reacted to me..... She didn't even blush! That other girl almost fainted after I read her stupid letter. But Persephone......was indifferent. Her words were cold like she'd prefer shoving bamboo under her nails than talk to me and that....Hurts in a way...
What?! No, it doesn't matter to me. There are plenty of other women to charm. They're all eating out the palm of my hand anyways.
"...That letter you supposedly wrote..." I perked up, a voice snapping me out of my thoughts. Her Voice!!
I turned from my car and across the lot, Persephone stood, her arms crossed while calmly talking to....whatever her name was.....Leah? Leah looked extremely embarrassed and stormed away.
Did Persephone mention Leah's note for a reason? What would she get from embarrassing her? I paused, opening the car door. Satisfaction. Maybe Persephone was jealous and that was the only way to comfort herself-
No Ian. Don't delude yourself. Why would she be jealous?
I sit in my car glancing at the mirror. My eyes were growing darker by the minute. I needed to go.

~Persephone's POV~
The next day I walked to school. Jade was beside me walking in her knee-high converse, listening to her iPod and belting out a BOTDF song, not caring who heard the extremely inappropriate words. After a while, I caught myself humming and immediately stopped. Her personality is contagious.
"Ah....Do you mind?"
"What do you mean?" She shouted over her music. I cringed, glancing around.
"You're singing BOTDF on a residential street....kids live around here-"
"Hey Persephone"
"Yeah?"
"Suck my D" she smirked, turning up her music and singing again.
I sighed, rolling my eyes before they landed on a car. It was, of course, the shiny red sports car that girls squealed about in class. It must've been Mr.Hall's. How could he afford a car like that on a teachers salary?
That was a mystery to me. Not like I cared- Mr.Hall paused as he exited his car and turned like he felt someone staring. After a moment I realized it was me, and looked down trying to seem preoccupied with counting the cracks in the sidewalk.
I glanced up and without even thinking, pulled my hair out of the elastic band it was in, letting it cover my face so I couldn't see him. And Bam!! thats when I slammed directly into the wall.
"Agh!! Dammit!!!" I cursed while falling to the ground, dropping my messenger bag in the process. I scrambled to get my things, but of course, the wind picked up, blowing my papers across the lawn. I looked up desperately, to see Jade's music was sooo loud, she didn't notice anything and kept walking into to school.
"Need some help, there?" I turned to see Mr.Hall, an almost amused look on his face. I wanted to slap him.
"No. Im fine on my o- is that my report?!" I shouted, cutting myself off mid-sentence. The report for English took me so long to complete, and it was hovering dangerously close to a water grate by the sidewalk.
Mr.Hall smiled, lightly jogging over to it, and grabbing the paper by its edges before it slipped into a watery oblivion. I sighed in relief and almost thanked him, but I bit back. Instead I got my things together and he went about grabbing papers that had flown off. When I stood up, Mr.Hall was there, holding my papers in a neat pile.
"Here you go."
"...." I only looked down, taking the papers and shoving them in my bag. Before he could say anything else I turned and walked into school, right as the bell rang.
It was a slow day in school. English went well, although I didn't want to explain to the teacher why my report was slightly damp. I noticed the students were looking at me differently, like I wasn't myself. Automatically running a hand through my hair because I was embarrassed, I gasped. My hair was out! The hair elastic must've fallen outside. I mentally cursed a million times, sitting at my desk in Algebra class.
"Persephone?"
"Huh?"
I turned to see Leah, arching an eyebrow.
"you look...different"
"And...?"
"I dunno. But it's a good look for you."
She half smiled, pouting a bit before returning to talking with her friends. I wasn't sure why she was being civil with me after i embarrassed her, but I wasn't concerned.
"Class?" Mr. Hall said.
The girls instantly looked to the front of the room, while the guys inwardly groaned. It was plain on their faces how annoyed they were. I sat normally, absentmindedly drumming my fingers on my wooden desk.
"A new rule is being put in place. If you miss your homework, you get a detention. Im sorry....policy." he shrugged.
"Im sure the majority of you dont have to worry about it though. Take out your homework, please."
He took out his clipboard and walked down the isles of desks, checking off every student for their homework.
He stopped at my desk, arching an eyebrow.
"Persephone? Homework?" he asked.
I opened my bag and pulled out the paper.
"Uh....wrong assignment."
I looked down to see my science homework was in my hand. Rummaging through my bag, pulling homework out here and there, but my math homework was nowhere to be found. I frantically sorted through every page, but it never turned up.
"Mr. Hall! I swear I had it! It must be outside-"
"Persephone, I picked up all your papers. Not one was left." He cut me off.
He clicked his pen, and I felt my perfect record being crossed away with red ink.
"Ill see you after school" he said.
