"He's going to your house?!" Jade exclaimed.

I immediately clamped a hand over her mouth, shushing her. We were outside the school in the teacher parking lot, waiting for Mr. Hall.

"Shhh! Be quiet!" I hissed, waiting for a group of girls to pass before I uncovered her mouth. Jade grinned at me, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"Is it for extra credit?" She questioned.
I slugged her in the arm, and she stuck her tongue out at me before freezing and holding back laughter.

"What....?" I asked, turning around. Leah was standing there, with a group of her friends. She smiled coldly, crossing her arms. Interjecting in the conversation.

"Well? Is it extra credit?" she sneered.
"No." I simply said, shrugging. Leah narrowed her eyes.

"Then what is it?" She questioned.
"Not like it's your business, but as of now, he's my tutor." I snapped.

Leah arched an eyebrow.
"Really? I doubt it. You're a model student."
She snickered.
"Well, it's the truth. I just can't concentrate...." I clenched my hands.
"Why? Is he too distracting-"
I sharply brought my fist forward and punched Leah in the face. She recoiled and everyone around her gasped, taking a step back. Leah trembled, looking at me.

"Just shut up already! Do me a HUGE favor and leave. Me. Alone! or else!" I shouted.

Jade stared at me horrified, and the others did the same. Leah pouted a bit, before blinking and bursting into tears.

"Mr. Hall! Look what she did!" she cried.
Everyone turned to see Mr. Hall exiting the school, with his briefcase in hand. He arched an eyebrow at us before pausing.

"What happened?" he asked.
"P-P-Persephone punched me!" She squeaked.
I winced, looking up at Mr. Hall. He locked eyes with me for a second, before shrugging.
"So?" He simply asked.

Everyone's mouth dropped open a little, especially Leah's.

"What do you mean, so?" she shrieked.
"As in, it's not my problem. School's over and frankly, you're annoying." he retorted before walking away.
"Persephone?"
I nodded and followed Mr. Hall to his car. Jade burst out laughing and I smirked.
"Thanks for that." I said.
Mr. Hall opened my door, before walking to the driver's side. "No need to thank me, it was necessary." He replied.

"Sure, it was a necessity to let me get away with assault." I said sarcastically, before glancing over at him.
"It was nice of you anyways...so thanks" I continued.
"You already thanked me, Persephone" he smirked. "Are you alright?"
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?!" I gasped, immediately turning away to face outside. I saw Mr. Hall still smirking in the window's reflection. I rolled my eyes, silently wishing for my blush to disappear.

Mr. Hall parked outside of my house, and turned off the car. I sat there for a moment, infuriated. I finally got out making sure I slam the door shut.

"Easy with my car, please! Are you sure-" he began to ask.

"I'm fine!" I shouted, whirling around to face him. Mr. Hall had a genuinely shocked look on his face. Had I really been that loud? I didn't know why I shouted...or better yet, why I was angry.

"I...I'm fine..." I repeated quietly, looking down at the sidewalk. I turned back to go inside and I felt his hand gently grab mine. I froze, my heart coming to a halt.

"Persephone..." he murmured.
"...Let's just get this over with..." I muttered, quickly pulling my hand away and walking in my house.

My hand felt like it was engulfed in flames.

But...in a good way.... I hated it...
