The day Mr.Hall would tutor me was slowly arriving that week. The day he'd go over my house......I had no idea how I felt about it. I was jittery...I decided it was nervousness about my grade, despite the fact Mr. Hall had the ability to plant butterflies in my stomach.

"Persephone, can you come over today?" Jade asked over her music, listening to her ipod even though she was in a school hallway.

"Huh? Oh Jade, I'm sorry I can't go." I responded.

"Why not?" she did an imitation of Leah's whiny voice, and I laughed.

"I....homework stuff."

"Well, okay! See you at lunch!" she called, doing the shuffle down the hallway. I stared after her before shaking my head, and walking to class. That girl was spontaneously different....I wish I had a personality like that.

I reached Mr. Hall's room, and sat down at my desk, leaning back tiredly with a sigh. The students were talking amongst themselves, because Mr. Hall wasnt in the room yet. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and turned to see a boy. I recalled that his name was David. He was a hit with the girls apparently, and I could feel some of them eyeing me already. He studied me with his "famous" grey eyes that his blonde hair swept over, and I arched an eyebrow.

"Can I help you?" I asked. He laughed a bit, leaning into a seat.

"Huh. Persephone, right?"

"I'm aware that's my name."

"Well, Persephone, would you tag along with us at the movies tonight?"

I blinked in response. David and his group of friends were the most popular kids in school. Why were they talking to me? Oh, right. I was different now.

"I'm sorry. I'm busy tonight."

Now it was his turn to look surprised. I could hear the classroom quiet down a little. David was obviously not used to being rejected.

".....with what?"

I opened my mouth to answer, but a voice interrupted me.

"With me."

All the heads turned to the front of the classroom. Mr. Hall stood in front of his desk, an amused smirk on his face. Now everyone was staring at me. The girls began to get envious expressions while the guys cracked a million dirty looks, no doubt. I sank in my seat, letting my hair fall over my face, trying with superhuman effort not to blush. After a moment of silence, the chatter started up again.

"David, go back to your seat."

"Ohhh, Ah, Yeahh...." he grumbled, going back to his desk in the back of the room. Mr. Hall walked over to my desk, still smirking.

"Your parents spoke to you, right?"

"Yeah, I know you're my tutor-"

"Besides that. They want me to drive you home too."

I widened my eyes. "WHAT?!" I whispered, with a hint of anger

"So you could get more help. They don't trust you enough to walk home, at least that's what they said." He replied.

I felt myself involuntarily frown. Someday, when my parents are old they'd pay for this. I'd send them to a nursing home. Yeah that sounds like a great plan for payback.

"Just meet me in the teacher parking lot after school, alright?"

I sighed, looking up at him irritatedly.

"Alright."
