"Uhh, Mr.Hall?"

I paused and decided to pack my things in my backpack a bit slower than usual. I guessed the girl had some homework questions but she sounded a bit...giddy. I dropped my pencil and bent down just to get a view of what was happening.

"I...I found this..." she smiled and handed him a letter.

Mr.Hall reached over his desk and took the letter. It looked too personal to be a school letter. The paper was a light vanilla color and it was thick. I could faintly see outlines of an elegant design at the corners. But what put me off the most was the scent of perfume that wafted over the minute he opened the letter.

He read over it quickly and looked at the girl incredulously. She blushed madly. "What would you say if....I dunno...one of your students wrote that?" she stuttered.

I held back a bit of laughter. She was making it painstakingly obvious that she wrote it herself. It was also obviously a love note if she sprayed perfume on it.

Mr.Hall paused for a moment and straightened out, tapping the letter lightly, "Whoever wrote this, must've been pretty infatuated with me" he said thoughtfully.

The girl parted her lips in awe, blushing the brightest red I've ever seen. "I-I-I..." she stumbled out of the classroom. She looked as if she was intoxicated.

Mr.Hall smiled to himself and put the letter in his pocket before walking out of the classroom. He caught the door before it fully closed, "Aren't you leaving Persephone? School let out already" he called.

I gasped and immediately stood up, "OUCH!" hitting my head on the desk in the process.

Mr.Hall poked his head back in. Seeing I was in pain he walked over, a worried expression on his face.

"Are you alright?"

"...Im fine..." I grumbled, smoothing my strawberry blonde hair back into a loose ponytail.

Mr.Hall arched an eyebrow and stepped closer.

"why do you do that to your hair?" he asked.

"What do you mean-"

He reached over and gently tugged on my hair band. I felt waves of my hair fall to my shoulder and I looked down in embarrassment.

His hand tapped my chin, gently lifting it up so I could face him.

"You look beautiful with your hair down, keep it like that" he murmured. I somehow kept a straight face and took my hair band back.

"Thanks but I prefer ponytails" I said rather coldly. I took my messenger bag and marched out of the classroom.

It was then that I allowed myself to blush.....
