Zac's POV

"Why does this feel like this is becoming a routine? Something bad happens, then she runs away, then we find her, then she's suddenly alright. When does it end?!" I yelled to Mimmi.

"Its going to be okay. I believe she has a good reason this time. And she did not run away last time, we just didn't know where she was and we couldn't find her. That's not her fault." She told me.

I sighed and I rolled my eyes. She's probably right. I should be putting my focus, time and energy into looking for her, not arguing over why we we're looking for her.

"I'm going to get Ondina and Sirena." She said, running inside.

I got my phone out and tried to call Kayla's cell.

I heard it ring a couple of times before I heard a very tired voice.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Kayla! Where are you? We've been looking for you for about half an hour!" I yelled at her through the phone.

"Zac." She said quietly.

"I'm in hospital. But please don't come, not until I get out, okay?" She asked me, in a very pleading way.

"What? Why are you in hospital? Are you alright? Did something happen? I'm going to get Mimmi and then I'm on my way." I said in a rush.

"No, Zac! Please, don't come for me. Please, I'm begging you. Promise me." She said.

"Kayla, I'm coming to see you and get you out and you're going to tell me what happened." I told her, with authority.

"Zac. Promise me! I don't want you to come and get me, I'm fine, I just want to be alone. Promise?" She said with a very sad tone.

"But Kayla-" I started. She wouldn't hear it. She interrupted me.

"Promise me!" She pushed.

"Fine! Done! Okay, okay, I promise." I said, surrendering, as I knew how stubborn my sister is.

"And please don't tell anyone, especially not Hayden. Please. I have to go now. Thank you, Zac. I love you." I heard her say.

"I love you t-" I was about to finish, before I heard the line go dead.

What is wrong with her? First she runs away, and then she tells me where she is, but then she doesn't want me to go get her. I don't understand that girl. But I do trust her.

"Did you get to her?" I heard Ondina ask, as the three of them came out the door of the Cafe.

"No, I just left a voice mail." I said, walking down the pier.

Mimmi's POV

We heard everything he said. Now he's lying to us. Kayla's breaking up families from all sides.

We heard their conversation, but we only heard Zac, as we were too far away to hear Kayla.

*phone call*

"Kayla! Where are you? We've been looking for you for about half an hour!" He yelled at her through the phone.

"What? Why are you in hospital? Are you alright? Did something happen? I'm going to get Mimmi and then I'm on my way." He said in a rush.

"Kayla, I'm coming to see you and get you out and you're going to tell me what happened." He told her, with authority.

"But Kayla-" He started. I'm guessing she wouldn't hear it. So she interrupted him.
