Zac's POV
We carried on walking as if everything was fine. But nothing was fine right now.

Erik had Mimmi and Lilianna, Kayla has lost her memory, Hayden is nowhere to be found, Evie is losing her strength and I'm here trying to be strong through it all.

It's hard trying to be the one keeping everybody else together. Well, I guess I don't have to try too hard keeping Kayla together, she doesn't seem very sad at all.

It was quite weird. It was like this is who she would've been in another world. An alternative world, where everything is the other way around.

As much as I liked this new positive Kayla, I still love and miss the one I came to know. My sister.

Yes, she's depressed. But, she's trying her best. Yes, she's suicidal. But how could you not be, given everything that Kayla has had to fight through.

I'm proud of her because of everything she has accomplished, because of everything she has achieved. Because she's Kayla.

"What are you smiling about?" I hear Evie ask me, sending me plummeting back to the real world.

I didn't even notice I was smiling until Evie brought it up. I simply shook my head and took her hand in mine.

"Because everything's going to be okay." I told her.

I wasn't really sure where that light of hope inside of me had come from, but it gave me strength to carry on, and for that, Im grateful.

"I really do hope so, Zac. For Kayla's sake." She said, squeezing my hand a little tighter than before. This made me smile even bigger.

Just then, Kayla stopped walking and turned to face me. I stopped aswell, to see what the matter was.

"Is everything okay?" I asked her.

"What's my daughter like?" She asked abruptly.

It was very unexpected, I didn't know what to say. Lilianna was premature 6 months, she hasn't even got a personality yet.

"I don't know her very well, but I'm sure she's going to look a lot like you. Beautiful. And she's going to act a lot like you, too. Smart, Empathetic, Caring, Always putting others before herself." I said, flattering my sister.

Her cheeks turned red and she tried to her hide her face away from me, but I already saw it.

She smiled.

It was the most beautiful smile. It was genuine. I would kill to see her smile like this more often. But this isn't really her.

And the thought of that made me frown.

"Are you alright?" She asked me.

She goes again with the caring personality. I can see why Hayden fell for her, she's an amazing person and I couldn't be happier that's she's my sister.

"Yea, I'm good. Just thinking about where our friend could've gone. It's a big jungle out there. How are we supposed to find him?" I told her, trying to redirect to another conversation.

"Well, let's look a little bit further and if we still don't find him, we can back track, in case he went back to look for us." Evie told us.

We both nodded and began searching again.

*5 minutes later*

It wasn't long until we heard some shouting from a little bit deeper into the jungle.

From where we were hearing the voice, it just sounded like really loud mumbling, but as we got closer and closer, the words began sounding more clear.
