Okay, so I get it. Your character loves wearing band tee shirts. (Don't we all? lol) And it's fanfiction, so, of course, your band member of choice could totally fall in love with a fan. But here's the thing.

Your band member of choice (let's use Patrick stump as an example, Kay?) wouldn't be singing along to Pierce the Veil (or whatever) with your main character. Unless of course, your main character was like "omg Patrick you need to listen to ptv because I really like them and you might too" or something like that. Please don't just make your band member of choice like whatever music your character likes for the sake of the plot. Here's a list of Band members and what music they like to listen to.

Patrick Stump: Big fan of Elvis Costello and Prince. Also likes the Refused (an awesome band if I do say so myself) and he listened to some local hardcore bands and a lot of Greenday and blink-182 in high school. He also likes ABBA.

Pete Wentz: As you all know, Metallica is pretty much his life, Guns N Roses, Jay-Z, and some local hardcore bands as well (at least, this was true in the late 90s early 2000s when Pete was heavily immersed in the Chicago hardcore scene.) I think he also likes Iron Maiden.

Joe Trohman: (Joe and I are pretty much music soulmates tbh) Black Flag, Descendents, (anything punk, really. I would look up more if I were you. He has a lot of pretty obscure-ish older bands on his Instagram.)

Andy Hurley: Earth crisis (I think that's the name idk), Metallica. Heavy metal shit, man. He likes Slayer. Metallica and Slayer actually got him into playing the drums there's a fun fact brought to you by Wikipedia (omg Nicole go kill urself)

Gerard Way: David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden (I think idk), I'm pretty sure he tweeted about listening to Fugazi once (or maybe that was me lol). He's just here to listen to David Bowie and have a good time, ya know?

Mikey Way: he likes greenday. Here's a quote from an article. "Britpop, the party influence of bands like the Happy Mondays ( the Madchester scene is wunderful like yasss) New Order, Public Image Ltd." ALSO HE FOLLOWS THE MANIC STREET PREACHERS ON TWITTER I LOVE MIKEY SO MUCH YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

Frank Iero: Black Flag, The Misfits, Iggy and The Stooges, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols. Frank is honestly just a big punk fan He especially likes the misfits cause they're from jersey I think? (correct me if I'm wrong)

Ray Toro: bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, and also Mötley Crüe and Metallica. The first CD he bought was Cowboys from Hell by Pantera (good album, a metal staple)

Brendon Urie: Frank Sinatra, honestly other than that he just likes everything but mostly like Jazz and Older stuff. Not a lot of punk or rock music. Look here's a quote from an interview wow (it must be my great *journalistic skillz*):FAVORITE SONG:"At the moment, it's Elvis Costello's version of 'What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love and Understanding.' (AN: I love that song and Elvis Costello) I never get tired of hearing his voice or this awesome song that seems, to me, to be so true to the state of the world today."FAVORITE NEW ARTIST:"[Atlanta singer-songwriter] . He's been around for some time, but I just discovered him recently. He recorded an album called Cave Talk by himself on an 8-track recorder. He's one of the funniest people I've had the pleasure of meeting and one of the most talented musicians I've seen live."

Ryan Ross: The Beatles (duh), The Refused, old soundtracks and stuff like that.

Jon Walker: "Honestly Jon just likes anything Greenday." (Band laughs) (that's a direct quote from that one video of them thrift shopping)

Spencer Smith: I have no idea just look at his Instagram I guess. It's funny but I can't find anything about what type of music he likes).

Dallon Weekes: Just look at his Instagram, but really you won't find anything but him talking about violent things. Definitely some older stuff from the 70s and 80s. He likes Guided by Voices (they're awesome). He likes Iggy Pop (a little bit), and Jazz Music (Seth McFarlane). He likes Flowers Forever (and so do I tbh). Him and breezy both like George Michael.
