Chapter seven
Zipping up my small suitcase, I fell back on my bed, exhausted. I had been packing for when I go home all day. I haven't seen any of the boy's since that night luckily, and now it's Sunday. Which mean's I'm leaving tomorrow. Well, me and Emma are.
Examining our bedroom, I saw how Em had mimicked me, and she too was lying on her bed, exhausted. We both sighed at the same time, and then we frowned. It amazes us both how in sync we are sometimes. It's actually crazy, we're like twins!
Someone cleared their throat, "Hi," Me and Em sat up. Vince was standing at our door, glancing around awkwardly. My eye's widened. Well, this is going to go well. I lied. It's going to go terrible.
"Hey," I replied, looking at Em as if to say, 'help me'.
But no, my best friend decided to leave me in a time of need, "Well, I'm just going to go to the bathroom," And with that, she was gone. I made sure to glare at her on her way out.
"Take a seat," I said shyly, pointing to Emma's bed. Vince hesitated, but did as I said. Now we were sitting facing each other. Okay, so that wasn't my best idea. But what can I say, disaster's are attracted to me in a odd way.
Vince took a breath, "So."
"So," I lamely said back.
"We need to talk," Vince said, as my eye's widened once again. I thought that was what couples tell each other when they want to break up. Please don't say he want's to stop being my best friend! I mean, yeah I ran away when he told me his feelings, but I was in shock for goodness sake!
I gulped, "Okay," My voice came out high and I cursed myself in my mind.
"It's about the other night," I nodded as he carried on, "I'm sorry if we freaked you out or anything."
"Um, no, it's okay. I was just in shock, that's all," My lip was quivering a bit. Why is it doing that?
"Right," He took a deep breath, "Well me and the other guy's talked."
I blinked, surprised, "You did?" I blurted out. My cheek's burned slightly because of what I said.
Vince chuckled, "Yeah, and we kind of have something to ask you."
About a million possibilities came running through my head at that moment. They aren't going to ask me to date them all at the same time are they? Or choose one of them? God, I don't even know them properly anymore, well, I know Vince. But I've never thought about him that way.
I guess they could ask me to forget all about it and pretend it never happened. But I don't see why they would do that. After all, it would be hard to forget about something like that. Especially when one of my best friend's is involved in it!
"Ask me then," I said, holding my breath and waiting for the question.
Vince bit his lip, "Would you take part in 'The switch' with us?"
I frowned, confused. What on earth is that? It sound's like it's part of a movie or something!
"You whore, what are you talking about?" I blurted out, and then covered my mouth. Great, my embarrassing habit of calling people name's when I'm confused has came back. I'm beginning to think that God hates me.
Vince raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Actually, you'll be the whore if you take part in this."
"Just tell me already, what are you talking about?" I asked impatiently.
