Steven Universe: In Too Deep

Steven continues to explain the rules as they play. Navy swings and the ball flies out. "If the ball gets caught..." Pearl runs and slides up to catch the ball. "You're out." Navy walks away as Eyeball steps up to bat.

Steven switches places with everyone. Eyeball swings and the ball lands right next to Pearl. Pearl grabs the ball and hurls it towards Steven. He catches the ball from her as Eyeball runs up to him.

"And if you get tagged..." Steven presses the ball into her. "You're out!" Eyeball growls and Steven backs away. "Ahhhh...and after three outs, we switch sides! The Gems switch places with the rubies.

Ruby is their umpire. Eyeball stands on first base. Leggy wanders near second. Army works on third base. Doc is their pitcher. Navy watches from the bench. Amethyst steps up to bat, chewing gum.

She blows a bubble as she readies her bat. Doc takes a minute to focus  before launching the ball. Amethyst's gum bubble pops right before she hits the ball. It flies across the field as Amethyst throws the bat.

"Whoa ho ho!" She immediately spin dashes across the field as she goes around the bases. She finally stops at home base as she slides onto it in style, smiling and acting like nothing suspicious just happened.

Steven starts to look worried from the reckless action. Pearl on the other hand pumps her fist with enthusiasm. "Nice!" Navy commentates what Doc is thinking with suspicion. "Wow, that purple human is really good!"

Steven runs up to Amethyst to cover up. "Hahahaha, us humans, we're full of surprises!" Steven pushes Amethyst up as she makes a peace sign with her tongue sticking out. He continues to push her away as he whispers.

"Amethyst, be careful." Sapphire runs into the field as batter. She readies her back while she talks with Ruby. "Hey, Ruby..." Ruby smiles as Sapphire giggles. Doc throws the ball. Sapphire swings as Ruby catches the ball effortlessly.

Army announces the first miss. "Strike one!" Pearl and Amethyst were talking before the announcement was made. Steven and them look back with confusion. "Huh?" Ruby continues, dreamily.

"Haven't I seen you somewhere before?" Sapphire responds. "I don't know, I don't get off planet much." Ruby and Sapphire start laughing as Doc throws the ball again. It ends up in Ruby's baseball mitt once more.

"Strike two!" The Gems watch Ruby and Sapphire, who are paying more attention to each other than concentrating on the game. Steven doesn't get what's going on. "What's going on? What are they doing?"

Lapis comes from the back, monotone. "Flirting." Pearl responds to comment in a somewhat worried tone. "Uh-oh." "Strike three!" Amethyst's gum bubble bursts. Ruby and Sapphire look down at the ball.

They then look back at the Gems, blushing in embarrassment. "Uhhhh..." Steven facepalms as Amethyst folds her arms. Pearl tries to give a reassuring smile as Lapis gives a silent thumbs up.
