A/N : that night (It's Sunday).
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *"Oh, come on!" Cy tugged on Jen's black sweater's sleeve, pulling her to Cy's side. "It's just a party, Jen." Cy told her as she walked down the sidewalk of Orchard St. "What's the worst that could happen?"
Jen raised an eyebrow at Cy. "Oh I don't know, possibly everything that we won't expect."
Cy just rolled her eyes and smiled.
It was 7:30 at night and was already dark with only the street lamps giving light to the roads. Jen tried to slow her pace but Cy was pulling her too excitedly down the street.
"I don't think this is a good idea." Jen's voice was uncertain and serious.
They both looked at the large building ahead of them. Faint glowing marks and designs were embedded on its stone walls and ivy climbed up and around the building making it look older and mysterious. The few windows flashed and waved colors from the disco ball inside as shadows danced on the walls.
There was a long line of anxious teenagers waiting in line in front of the Phantom; the hottest club in the city and some say the best. Voices trailed over one another. The bouncer in front of the maroon doors wore a casual bouncer shirt that simply stated security, his bold arms were crossed over and he wore a pair of tan khakis, his eyes hid behind black glasses. He was discussing something to the first boy that stood in line that had spiky bright orange hair but Cy couldn't make out the words.
"Jen, come on. It's going to be fun." Cy said, "It's Sunday and I heard almost anyone would be there. I overheard a conversation between a group of people in a booth at Nightdock's." She cocked her head at Jen as she turned toward her but Jen looked shocked and angry.
"You went to Nightdock's?" Jen said, pretty mad, "With Nicholas?" Jen looked furious. "How-No, why did you go there?"–She snapped and swapped her expression for a curious look and raised an eyebrow–"You usually go to JJ's." Jen stated.
Cy turned her gaze back ahead of her. "Yeah I know," she agreed with Jen. "But we went there to meet up with a friend of Nick's," her eyes went back to Jen, "And for a bite to eat."
Jen rolled her eyes and groaned under her breath. She continued walking down the sidewalk without Cy's guidance pulling her. Cy and Jen joined the long–now shortened–line.
"Nick told me to stay away from this place." Jen said without looking at cy.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that Nick has told me to stay away from here." Jen crossed her arms over her chest, gesturing to the surrounding area. "The Phantom." Her jacket flapped in the wind against her.
"Hum, weird." Cy looked up curiously at the building, examining it. "Why?"
"Because it's supposedly holds–I mean–" she stopped her sentence, "It has a lot of weird people." She said deepening weird. "He said a lot of bad people." Jen attempted to take a step back but Cy pulled her arm and put her back in line next to her. "Cy I'm not so sure we're supposed to be here."
Cy raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? Almost everyone would be here. Oh come on Jen, who knows it would probably be a lot of fun." Cy begged Jen with pouting eyes.
Jen groaned."Oh gosh, I'm going to regret this. I just know it." She said under her breath.
Cy squealed then hugged Jen. "Yes."
They finally got inside after twenty minutes of waiting when a small fight broke out between three people arguing who skipped in front of whom.
Jen and Cy stood a few feet in front of the closed doors inside the Phantom as they stared at the crowd of glowing splatter painted people with multi colored hair. The inside brightly glowed with lights and banging music and jumping and dancing people. Lights glazed the walls and people and casted shadows against them aswell as the upper part of the high ceilinged hall. There were people on the far sides of the splattered walls, eating, drinking and talking.
