"GO!" Nick shouted. "GET OUT OF HERE!"

Jen grabbed Cy's arm so fast she didn't see it but as soon as Jen turned around she stopped dead in her tracks having Cy topple over into her. Cy followed Jen's frightened glare and froze in her tracks as well, almost having her heart jump out her chest.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! RUN!" Nick yelled behind him, specifically to Jen, with a furious tone.

"Um, we can't." Jen's voice cracked.

"Why?" Nick turned around and swore under his breath.

"That's why."

A large group of almost sixty or so people were quickly gathered around them in dark colors that almost matched the night. Their eyes glowed unnatural colours of scarlet red and orange gold and honey brown that appeared stranger than their clothes. They all looked like normal people, except that they were darker and foggy. They looked so dead it was unsettling.

Cy glazed her eyes over every one of them and noticed how pale they looked, and each of their eyes held hunger in them. Their eyes were the only thing inhumane about them but then Cy looked at them more closely, she saw something else: she saw dark vicious aura's that stood out like pure smoke swirling around them. Each figure stood close together, it was going to be difficult to get out. Almost every pair a lips were smirked evilly. The circle was hushed as they stood there for a few seconds in silence before Nick spoke up.

"What is this about?" His claws were still out, which made him look like a wolf-hybrid warrior.

A single man stepped out from the circle of mad hungry people. He had short black hair that was swept back, making his gold eyes that held amusement behind them look like becons against his pale skin. He looked well around nineteen.

"Well, well, well," he seemed quite mocking. "Don't get your fur in a bunch." He folded his hands and began circling them with a graceful ease like water flow.

"What is this about?" Nick asked again fiercer this time.

"Oh nothing too important," he stopped in front of Jen. His eyes locked with her a few brief moments before circling on. "Just a few things we need to get to the bottom to."

Nick's lip turned, "If it's not that important then why are you here?" He snapped at him. "And why did you bring so many of your people." He discarded the last word, like a disgraceful name.

The mysterious man stopped again but this time in front of Nick, eyeing him down. "It's my job who says who of my clan to bring." His lip twitched, "Dog." He spat the word with disgust.

Cy drew her eyebrows together. Dog? she thought. She decided she would figure out the pieces later. Cy wasn't sure if she should either be scared about Nick transforming or be scared of this man in front of them. This all seemed too weird–weird is not even the best word to describe it–that this was all happening. She has never felt more afraid–and surprisingly angrier–than now.

"Besides," the guy continued. "This doll looks promising." He stood in front of Cy and cupped her chin a one swift move.

Nick bolted in between the man and Cy with full claws out and let out a growl that pierced through the park and made Cy jump.

"Get your hands off of her!" Nick shouted in the man's face.

He backed away with a slight flinch and a devilish smirk. The circle of men and women tightened in with snaps of their teeth. They all had white fangs that flashed, and it made Cy flinch.

Vampires? Was the first thought that came to her mind. She looked off into the night disbelief all over her face. What the hell is going on? This can't be happening.
