"What did they say?"
"They'll turn BonBon's mum." I rolled my eyes.
"At least we're not dyeing." Elijah noticed as we went to the car.
"Where are we going, Klaus?"
"Back. I think Bekah will kill Elena any second." Klaus joked and I sighed.
Elena, Elena, Elena. Her name is always around... That sucks.
"Why do you even care about her?"
"She's the key to my hybrids, love." Klaus said frowning.
"And a selfish bitch." I added.
"Harsh." Elijah said and looked at me concerned.
Hm. I shrugged.
"Don't be mad, my love. We are there. The cave is minutes away."
We got out of the car and started to walk.
"What do you think; Who of them is dead?" I joked and raised stunned looks from Elijah and Klaus.
"I am alive." Rebekah approached us.
I laughed: "And Elena?"
"Yep, somehow." She chuckled.
We walked another 2 minutes and reached the entrance of the cave.
"Elena." I sang and gave her my biggest, most faked, dirty smile.
"Ca-Call-Callie." She stuttered.
"Yeah."
"You are here."
"I have to be here." I sighed and glared at her.
"And what happened? Did Stefan and Damon sent you?"
Why was she acting so stupid?
I felt how I got angry.
"No Elena. I am actually here because of them." I pointed back at Elijah, Nik and Bekah.
"Oh."
"I mean, you tried to kill me."
"I di-" I didn't need to hear that.
"No, Elena. But I'll stay alive. I am sorry." I said and winked.
"How are you going to stop the ritual?"
"Well..." Onto the best part, I had to grin, "One of the Bennett witches needs to die."
Her jaw dropped.
"They'll go with BonBon's mum. Of course." I rolled my eyes.
She breathed in sharply.
"But there's hope; They'll just turn her. I mean, I suggested them to kill one of them... But they are so boring." I looked at my nails.
"We'll wait outside." Rebekah said and they left the cave.
"You- you did what?! How could you even dare to say something like this, Callista?" She yelled at me.
Oh wow, she screams. I can do that as well.
"Maybe because you decided to sign mine death sentence and theirs? I had to save my freaking ass!"
"What?! Gosh Callie. You sound so much like Katherine! You are selfish!"
She left the 'save' cave and glared at me.
What did she just say?!?!
"Elena, are you kidding me? You are the selfish bitch here! You are the reason my family is gone! You took it all away from me! You dare to judge me? You tell me that I am like Katherine.? Well, actually she was a real friend the last weeks. She changed!! And now YOU are that mean, bitchy 'Katherine'! The only thing that differs you from her is your humanity! But that's something we can easily change!"
I didn't even hesitate.
I bit my wrist and pushed it against her mouth. She coughed but in the end she drunk it.
"See you as a newbie."
I grabbed her head and pulled when suddenly I flew against a wall.
"Callie!" Klaus shouted and grabbed my wrists tightly.
"Let me finish what I started!" I shouted back.
Elijah stepped in front of her while Bekah started at me.
"Cal, calm down!"
"NO." I yelled and tried to fought Klaus.
Elena cried now and Elijah tried to comfort her.
"I have 24 hours to turn you, Elena" I threatened her.
Suddenly Klaus grip loosen a bit and I stormed towards Elena with my face vamped up.
"Bye bye El-"
And it all went black.
I coughed and opened my eyes slightly. Oh looks like a basement. I closed them again.
"Ohh. Hell." I mumbled and looked around. Shit. What the f*** am I doing here?
"DAMON! Move your ass down here!" I screamed.
Silence.
"Are you f**** kidding me?"
Silence.
"Salvatore!"
Finally I heard someone walking towards the door.
"Callie, you're awake." Damon said drily.
"Yeah. I am. What happened?"
"Well, you tried to turn your sister and I staked you." She answered from behind Damon.
"Bekah?"
"Yep."
"So you staked me, huh?"
"Sorry. But you freaked."
"Anyway. Blood, please."
They changed looks. What was going on?
"No, Callie."
Did Damon just said no?
"No?"
"You will get weak now and then you turn your emotions back on."
Seriously?
"That's what you hope for."
He nodded and turned towards the door.
"Will Klaus come over sometime soon?" He asked Rebekah quickly.
"Yes, he wants to talk to her about all that."
Damon nodded and left.
"So you are alive. And Nik as well. And I am alive.. Somehow."
"We all are. Bonnie's mum is a vampire now." Rebekah explained.
I shrugged.
"And Elena still human."
I pouted.
"Why am I here? You couldn't just deal with me, huh?"
"Callie, they are all gone. Kol, Finn and Elijah left town."
I shrugged and looked around.
She stared at me for some minutes before she left.
Looks like I'll stay here for a while.
Shit.
*Elijah POV*
It has been a week since I left.
It hurt seeing Rebekah so gutted about our mother. She was so sad. Esther didn't even hesitated, she just tried to kill us.
And Callie. I felt a knot build inside my stomach. Esther was mad because of her. What was that with Juliette? Bonnie would try to find something out. And I'll talk to some witches as well.
But first; I pulled out a phone, dialled a number and waited.
"Hello, Callie! Finally we talk again. Anyway I'm at Kellan's right now. Remember him? The boy before Tyler and between Tyler and Damon? Yeah right, anyway. How are you doing?"
She stopped talking, finally.
"Hello Katerina."
"Elijah." She gasped. "Why are you at Callie's phone?"
"She's on a time out. That's why I am calling."
"What? Wait. Where are you?"
"In Florida."
"What happened?"
"Callie's gone mad. She's locked away and I left."
"Okay. And what do you want me to do?"
"Go to her. She'll loose it all otherwise." I felt sadness.
"And Niklaus?"
"I'll talk to him. Just go to her!"
Silence.
"Okay."
I knew that she was about to hang up.
"I miss you, Katerina."
"Yes." She whispered full of love and the line went dead.
*Callie's POV*
The week passed by and I already was getting weak.
Damon stopped visiting me after 2 days.
I had shouted at him and I was mean but hey, he was pissing me off; Trying to convince me to turn my emotions back on.
Stefan was here everyday. He's concerned. He really is.
And all the others? They are probably as far away from here as possible.
But that's good.
Caroline visited me the second day. After 10 minutes she left crying.
I moaned. My head was pounding and the blood was slowly creeping out of my veins.
"Just stake me right here!" I shouted.
Then there were footsteps coming closer.
"I wont, love." Klaus smiling face appeared in the doorframe.
"Klaus. Why are you here?" I said, sending him glares.
"To apologies." He looked down.
What? What was he on about again?
"Why? What for?"
"You've been through a lot."
"Ah." I said halfhearted.
"Listen, Callie. You turned into monster." He sat down in front of me.
"You don't say." Sarcastic is my new friend.
"But that isn't you! We found something out about Juliette."
I raised an eyebrow.
"The side of her inside of you is weak. Until you're own personality is weak, then she gets the upper hand. And right now," he looked at my blank face, "you shut everything of. That makes you weak."
I stared at him.
"And maybe, that Juliette-part of you could completely take the YOU away."
"Maybe. So you're not sure?"
Klaus sighed.
"No, but Bonnie is looking for something."
"Ah, BonBon." I giggled. How does she have to feel with her mum all vampire?
"Callie. Think about all this."
He kissed my forehead and turned to leave.
"Wait."
Klaus turned back around.
"I will not turn it on again. I have nothing to go back to. I'll stay that way. But I want to make a deal."
"Cal-"
"I leave town and all of you behind, with my emotions on. And I'll never return."
He looked at me with a stunned expression.
"What? No. You stay right here! I am worried about you! I want to help!"
So that was a no. I shook my head.
"Leave." I claimed.
"Callie, please!"
"Get the f** out of here!" I shouted.
Klaus just stood there; sadness written all over his face.
He left slowly.
*Damon's POV*
The week was rough.
The only way to deal with Callie breaking into pieces was getting drunk.
A knock on the door made me get up.
"Klaus." I greeted him.
It was hard to admit that he actually could be helpful. Because when it comes to Callie he has a connection.
"Damon. How is she?"
I knew how I felt but Klaus didn't look too good himself.
His eyes were full of sadness and his kinda famous evil smirk had disappeared from his face.
"She's still emotionless."
"I'll talk to her about Juliette today?" He asked. Well...
Callie's calls from the basement rang out: "Just stake me right here!"
The pain cut through my body and I wined slightly.
Klaus nodded at me and rushed downstairs.
I decided to blank them out.
The alcohol these days was a must.
I looked out of the window.
Callie was killing herself without even knowing it.
I watched her leave, several times.
But that's the first time I was kinda sure that I had lost her forever.
A single tear rolled down my cheek.
"Callie, think about all this." I heard Klaus downstairs and walked over to the door of the basement.
"Wait."
I shivered, I hadn't heard her voice in days.
"I will not turn it on again. I have nothing to go back to. I'll stay that way. But I want to make a deal."
The pain hit me. What was she saying? What's about us?
"Cal-" Klaus tried but she cut him off.
"I leave town and all of you behind, with my emotions on. And I'll never return."
No. No, Callie!
I wanted to scream and shout at her.
No, Callie. Another tear rolled down my cheek.
She was shouting at him again.
I stood there with a bottle of scotch in my hand.
"She's slipping out of our hands, Damon." Klaus teared up.
He was right.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
I raised an eyebrow at Klaus but he just shrugged.
Who was it?
"Katherine?"
She looked behind me at Klaus with concern.
"Here to die?" Klaus threatened her.
"No. Elijah called me." I heard something like love in her voice when she said his name. What was going on between the two of them?
"Elijah?!" Klaus asked stunned.
"Why?" I asked.
She just looked towards the basement.
I turned and looked at Klaus.
He nodded and left, I followed him.
*Callie's POV*
Klaus had to be kidding me.
He could have found a better lie to make me turn them on again.
How was this going to be?
Will they just let me rot here?
Fabulous.
I saw her brown hair and her brown eyes through the small window and sighed.
"Finally you come here to die, Elena."
"Oh, stop being cute." Her teasing voice rang out.
Wait. What?
"Katherine." I exclaimed.
The door swung open.
"The one and only." She joked and looked at me.
I was sitting at a chair and played with my nails.
"Why are YOU here? Out of all the annoying people..."
"Well, If one of my friends is getting mad I should come over and show some pity, should I?" She said sarcastically.
"Oh, poor Katherine. You are not a friend of mine. I was just a little vampire to play around with and you were just some lonely bitch that had some informations." I said and looked at her.
"Ouch, that hurt. Do you treat all your friends like that?"
I grinned and got up.
"Katherine, I have no friends. I don't need them." I said calmly.
Now she was grinning.
"Stay right here." She pushed me back down onto my chair and a second later she returned.
"What's about him?"
A blonde, tan guy stumbled inside the basement.
"Kellan."
His heartbeat was racing.
"Hey." He gave me a shy smile.
I honestly haven't saw him since last year or so.. I haven't really thought about him..
"So, what's about him?" She asked again.
I just shrugged.
Katherine gave me a dirty smile and bit his neck.
The blood dropped onto the floor.
It smelt good. It smelt fabulous.
I rushed over to him but Kat was faster;
She pushed Kellan behind her back and pushed me back at my chair.
"Ah, ah, ah. Stay there."
She took a metal rod and jabbed it straight through my thigh.
I gasped in pain.
She didn't stopped until it went through my thigh and the chair I was sitting on. I was pinned to that damn chair.
"Katherine, you bitch." I mumbled through greeted teeth.
"Don't be mad." She teased.
I decided to ignore her.
"So, you can watch your little friend here bleed to death now."
Katherine looked at him and back at me.
"Have a nice day, Callie."
"You too, Katherine." I said ironic.
She left and I stared at Kellan.
His eyes were wide and his skin a bit pale. He looked at me with a pleading expression.
"Callie." Kellan whispered in pain.
"So you know what we are?"
"Katherine told me."
"Of course she did." I said annoyed and looked at my nails.
"Callie, I am dying." His voice was weak.
"That's what can happen."
"Callie." Kellan pleaded again.
"Another 30 minutes, Kellan."
Silence for some seconds.
"Remember that night in the rain?"
He started suddenly.
"We were at that dance of Elena as a freshman. Elena was angry with you because we came there and were drunk." He chuckled weakly.
"We danced the night along. And you pulled me out to the football field. It was raining. You told me about what you were looking for in a guy." I looked at him.
"Katherine told me about you and Damon. It seems like he is that guy for you, Callie."
What a cheap trick. That wouldn't change anything.
I checked the time; 20 minutes.
15 minutes.
10 minutes.
5 minutes.
"You were always a good friend. Seeing you like this hurts.
You lost it all because you stopped fighting.
I never thought you would be that weak." He said and looked at me.
0 minutes. Time is over.
And then he died.
"He's dead." I said and waited for Katherine to return but she didn't.
I stared at him.
That was just senseless.
*Damon's POV*
We stood at the garden in the back of the boarding house and drunk in silence.
"Damon." Klaus suddenly started.
"Yes?"
"Callista is a wonderful woman. But I also know that she is your girl."
I raised an eyebrow.
"She was drawn to me mostly because of Juliette. But still, there is a small part herself that loves me."
"I know." I mumbled bitterly.
"If she turns her emotions back on she might feel more or less for one of us.
I sighed; "I know."
He downed his drink.
"What is going on with your brother and Katherine?"
"He fell for her 500 years ago."
"Ah, big mistake."
Klaus chuckled.
"I told him the same but it seems like this one time Katerina actually loved someone."
"What?" I asked stunned.
"Through all this years, they met each other from time to time. She loves him and so does he..."
My eyes widened in shock.
"Yes, Damon. Somehow they love each other." He laughed slightly and looked into the sky.
From the corner of my eye I saw how Katherine approached us.
"I'm done. Now all we have to do is wait."
"Katerina." Klaus was now face to face with her.
She took a deep breath.
"Klaus." She actually seemed scared.
"500 years from running and I've never been that close." Klaus said an looked at her.
"I made a deal with Elijah. I am just here to help Callie and then I'll leave."
"And of course I wont do you any harm. I don't want to hurt my brother's feelings." He teased.
I cleared my throat and they looked at me.
"What have you done, Katherine? How are you going to fix her?"
"Don't be so impatient, Damon." She winked and took the bottle of scotch from me.
Klaus looked a bit fretful.
"I'll need to leave. I have things to do. Call me if anything changes." He said quickly and was gone.
"I heard him talking to you." Katherine looked at me.
"Yeah."
"What are you doing if he turns it back on and loves Klaus and not you?"
Every inch of my body was in pain.
"I would probably let her go. If you love someone you want them to be happy." I answered and looked at her.
"So posh, Damon. And what if she doesn't even turn it on again?"
"We'll have to look what will happen. But if the witches were right we would have to let her die... Or kill her."
Her jaw dropped slightly.
"And you would do this?!" She half-shouted.
"No, but Klaus and Rebekah told us how hard to control Juliette was.. You can't even imagine." I said desperate.
"Oh, I can.. Believe me."
*Flashback*
Katherine looked around the bar.
She spotted Stefan and had to smile;
Even after all those years he had still this smile.. It was beautiful.
A blonde girl approached him and they danced.
Was he in love again?
Katherine was deep in thought and didn't even realise that a girl crushed into her.
She had long, brown hair and brown-green eyes.
"Tatia?" The girl asked stunned.
Katherine pulled her wick deeper into her face.
"No." She answered quickly and rushed away.
The next days she went crazy and tried to find out who that girl was.
Juliette. The love of Klaus. And the sister of the original doppelgänger.
Katherine sat at a small table in the corner of the same bar and looked after Juliette.
She watched Klaus and Stefan leave the bar.
Suddenly Juliette jumped up and rushed into the city.
She made her way over to a group of drunken guys; 6 or 7 guys.
They whistled and moaned when they spotted her.
Katherine rolled her eyes and looked at the moon.
When she looked back they were all dead and Juliette was gone.
*today*
"You see, I know about Juliette's ripper days. "
I was shocked. That's what could happen to my Callie?
"But I still would never kill her or let her rot in some basement."
I nodded sadly. She was right. Of course she was!
*Callie's POV*
He was dead.
I felt a tiny amount of pain right next to the big, black hole of numbness. But it was gone quiet quickly again.
I wonder if Katherine would let me out?!
Suddenly Kellan gasped for air and sat up.
My jaw dropped.
What is going on?
"Callie?" He asked stunned.
Oh my god.
"Show me your hands!" I claimed.
No Gilbert-ring.
No. No. No.
"Callie, what's going on?" He asked worried.
"How do you feel?" I shouted.
"Hungry."
No, No, No, No.
Panic. Panic and fear. They hit me like a tsunami.
I gasped for air.
All the feelings were about to assail myself.
"DAMON! NO! PLEASE! DAMON!"
I tried to get up but the rod was stopping me.
"Callie, what is going on?" Kellan asked again.
"Damon!" I shouted.
I took a deep breath and ripped myself free.
The huge wound in my thigh wasn't really healing but I still got up.
I was weak and almost lost my balance.
I crushed into Damon and he caught me.
"Callie!" He said and looked at me.
"Damon- She- Kellan- He's a vampire- Damon. " I stuttered.
"Yes."
"NO! NO! That can't be true! Being a vampire, being a monster, took it all from me!" I screamed.
"Callie!" He pulled me closer.
My head was pounding.
I pulled at my hair and looked around desperately.
"It- MAKE IT STOP!" I screamed.
"Callie, what is going on?!"
"I am scared! Please! Help me!" I begged. My head felt like it was going to explode any minute.
Tears were now streaming down my face.
"Callie, that are your emotions."
"Damon! Help me, please!"
He nodded and in a blink of an eye we were upstairs in his room.
"I can't do this! I have nothing!" I cried.
"Yes, you can! You have me. I love you, Callie." Damon said and held me tight.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
They there were; my feelings hit me softly while one feeling was burning with a passion; love. My love for Damon.
Fear, panic, love, hope, pity- it all came back and made me shiver.
"Damon." I whispered and looked up.
"You're back, Callie."
I nodded slowly and broke down in tears.
A slight knock made me stop and look up again.
"Callie? How are you?" Katherine asked concerned.
"You turned him."
"It was his idea. He wanted to help."
I got up and walked towards her.
I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her.
"I am so sorry, Callie."
I just nodded and cried into her shoulder.
Kellan.
I pulled a bit away and turned to Damon.
"Kellan." I whispered between sobs.
"Should I take care of him?" Damon asked concerned.
"No, I'll do it."
I slowly walked downstairs, into the basement and to the fridge.
I grabbed to blood bags; One for myself that I emptied greedy.
I drunk another two and walked with the remaining one over to Kellan.
He still leaned against a wall with a desperate look in his eyes.
"Here." I handed him the blood bag.
He looked at me.
"You healed." He exclaimed stunned.
"Yes. Blood. Drink it." I claimed and smiled.
Kellan looked a bit disgusted but finally he took a zip.
His face vamped up and he downed the rest.
"Am I a vampire now?"
"Yes." I sat down next to him.
"Did it work?"
"What?"
"Have you turned them on again."
"Yes, I did." A tear rolled down my cheek.
"I'm glad it worked." Kellan smiled and I leaned against his shoulder.
"What I said about Damon was right, wasn't it?"
"Yes, Kellan. He's the one for me."
I stopped. I was sure now. No insecurity because of Klaus.
"Callie? What will I do now?" Kellan asked and looked at me.
"First you need a daylight ring. Stefan will ask Bonnie for help."
Bonnie. A knot in my stomach build up. I should talk to her. I got up.
"I'll bring you some blood but you need to stay down her for now, okay?"
Kellan nodded and I went back upstairs.
"CALLIE!" Klaus ran towards me and wrapped his arms around me.
I gave in and leaned my head against his shoulder.
"You're back." He said with his voice trembling.
"I am. Kat was kinda helpful."
He smiled.
"You have to thank Elijah, he called her."
"Oh." I laughed slightly and pulled away from the hug.
"Wait."
Klaus kissed my forehead and let go of me.
Another conversation to strike, damn it.
I heard the front door and turned around;
Caroline and Stefan.
She gasped for air and Stefan looked at me.
"Hey." I said quietly and hide a bit behind Klaus.
"That's not my problem. You should deal with them yourself." Klaus said and left.
I looked at them.
"Callie?" Stefan asked in disbelieve.
"Yeah, it's me."
In second he was in front of me and held me close.
"Not that tight." I joked and he let go of me.
Caroline still looked worried.
"Hey Caroline. I am-"
"No, Callie. Sorry would be the wrong word now." She cut me off.
"I just want your forgiveness." I whispered apologetic.
"Callie. Do you even know what you've done?" She glare at me.
"Yes. And I feel the guilt. Please, Caroline. I already paid a price." I looked down sadly.
"What?"
"Kat brought my humanity back but for that she had to turn Kellan."
Caroline gasped.
"KELLAN?!" She shouted.
"Yes. He's a vampire now."
"Who's Kellan?" Stefan asked concerned.
I just shook my head.
"He's one of her ex-boyfriends and a good friend." Caroline explained.
"Oh Callie." She came over an stroke my back.
"I never wanted that for him. Being a heartless vampire is what took it all away from me."
"I forgive you, Callista." Caroline said and hugged me.
"Thank you."
"What are you doing now with Kellan?" Stefan asked.
"He already finished the transformation. Now I need a daylight ring for him."
Stefan nodded.
"Maybe someone should tell him what all this is about." He suggested and looked at me.
"I can't do that."
"I'll do it." Stefan said with a smile and went downstairs.
"So Caroline. What have I missed?"
Damon came downstairs with Katherine.
"I am leaving again, Callie." She announced and looked at me.
"Until next time." She whispered as she hugged me.
"I'll find a way to bring you together and back in town, Kat."
She laughed slightly.
"Bye, Damon." Kat said with a smirk and in a blur she was gone.
Damon sat down at the couch and pulled me into his lap.
"So, Caroline?" I asked again, "What have I missed?"
"First of all Abbie can't really deal with being a vampire. Bonnie stayed with her and helped her.. Or at least she tried."
"She stayed? Past? How is Abbie now?"
"She ran away, again." Caroline looked sad.
"Oh no."
"And we found out more about Alaric." She changed subject.
"Ah, okay."
"He is the serial killer."
I felt how Damon got tense.
"No freaking way. What are we going to do?"
"We need to try and keep him in control." He answered for Caroline.
The poor guy. And Damon? How does he feel?
"We'll find a way." I whispered and turned around and kissed him.
He was surprised but quickly gave in.
Caroline cleared her throat and we broke away.
"Sorry. What else did I miss?"
"Huh.. I'm not sure."
Caroline was a horrible liar.
She changed looks with Damon.
"What?" I asked and looked at her.
"Well... We found Sage." She said quickly.
"Sage?"
Damon laughed.
"A bitch that loves Finn since 1100 something." Damon answered and kissed my neck.
"And what's so special about her?"
"She told us about some white oak from the Wickery Bridge."
My jaw dropped.
"But we lost it again." Damon added quickly.
"I have a feeling that there is more..."
I started and looked again at Caroline.
"Yeah, we have some of it left." She gave in an Damon sighed.
What?
I got up and turned so that I would face both.
"You would lie to me? Again? After all this?" I shouted.
"You would have kill my friends?!" I continued shouting.
"Yes." Caroline said and looked down.
I shook my head and turned to the window.
"Yes, Callie! I would have killed them if I would have lost you! It's their fault that you've been through all this! I wanted them to regret this!!!" Damon suddenly started to shout.
Wow. I was taken back.
"But now, you are here again. And the only people that have to die are Finn and Esther." He finished and took my hand.
"Esther is still alive?"
"Yes."
I nodded slowly and kissed him.
"Then maybe you are right. Finn has to die and Esther as well."
Stefan came upstairs and looked tranquillised.
"And?" I jumped up.
"He's fine. I gave him my backup-daylight ring."
"And the 'rules'?" I still was concerned.
"Kellan said that he's okay with not killing people but... He doesn't had to face a human yet."
"So we'll see."
He nodded and gave me a small smile.
Damon got up and poured himself a drink.
"So what exactly are you? Friends or..?" Damon definitely was jealous.
Caroline grinned.
"He's my ex."
Damon frowned.
"But don't worry. They just had fun together. Nothing serious." Caroline teased.
"What?!" His jaw dropped.
"We met at Coachella and when we met we had fun and that's it."
Damon was baffled.
"So you were a bitch and I was quite horny." Kellan's voice rang out cockily.
Damon rushed over and pressed him against a wall.
"Easy." Stefan said and pulled him away.
"Calm down, Damon. He's just a friend." I said soothing.
"Yep, a good one." Kellan agreed.
Damon nodded and approached me. He sent Kellan a big grin before he kissed me.
The kiss was full of passion and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
He moaned slightly and I smiled.
"Hey guys. Get a room."
We looked at Kellan and I had to laugh.
Caroline's phone buzzed and she looked at us.
"Stefan, Damon. We'll meet now."
They nodded.
"You can comply later." Stefan said and smiled, "But before you might wanna have a catch up and you could show Kellan around."
"Yes." I grinned.
Damon, Stefan and Caroline left. The minute we heard the door close I rushed over to him with my vamp speed.
"That's so cool!" He exclaimed.
"For sure. Grab a bottle of whiskey and get the party started!"
I opened a window and jumped outside.
"Come on, Kellan!"
He took a deep breath, jumped off and landed in front of me.
"Wow." He was stunned.
"Yeah, and now over to the Mystic grill!"
I ran off. The trees flew by. Suddenly Kellan was in front of me. I laughed and jumped against a tree and landed on top of another one.
I jumped from tree to tree and landed at the end of the wood.
I turned but Kellan wasn't behind me.
"Kellan?"
I felt how he pushed me against a tree and crushed his lips onto mine.
I was shocked and pushed him away.
"KELLAN!"
"Sorry, I- I feel so much and I'm kinda-"
"Horny?" I finished his sentence.
He just nodded.
"You're feelings get stronger as well as your desire."
"Damn it. Sorry, Cal."
I laughed and linked arms with him.
"Let me show you something."
We entered the grill and a black haired bar tender greeted us.
"Hey Callie and-?"
"That's Kellan. He's from California." I introduced him.
"Wow."
Kellan gave her his famous sexy grin and the bar tender, Mila, blushed.
"Okay Mila. We take two tequila shots and maybe.. The bottle."
She nodded and Kellan sat down at the bar with me.
"What are you up to, Callie?"
"You need to control the desire for blood and girls." I said as Mila came over with our drinks.
"Here you are, guys. Anything else?"
"Actually, yes." I gave her a warm smile and looked straight into her eyes.
"Kellan is new here and feels a bit lonely. You may wanna join him tonight. He lives at the Salvatore Boarding house. But for now he just wants a small bite. Don't scream. Don't be scared." I compelled her.
"How did you do this?" Kellan asked stunned.
"Didn't Stefan told you about compulsion?"
"Ah yes." He laughed.
"So, take a bite."
He hesitated for some seconds but I saw the desire in his eyes. His face vamped up and he bit her wrist.
I saw how he swallowed the red liquid greedy. After some gulps I stopped him.
"Enough, sunny boy." I said and pulled him away.
Kellan tried to fight me but I pushed him away slightly.
"You need to control the hunger."
He nodded and looked into his glass.
"So Mila. Get this bandaged up. Tell everyone it was a accident because you are quit clumsy. See you at the boarding house later."
Mila nodded and went into the kitchen.
"We need to go, Kellan. Come on."
I grabbed his arm and seconds later we reached the meeting point. I signalised him to be quiet as we walked towards the group of people in front of us.
We listened to what they were saying.
"We have the weapons, we can do this." Damon explained.
Besides him, Stefan and Caroline, I spotted Alaric, Matt and -my heart ached- Elena.
"But there are also Klaus and Rebekah." Matt chipped in.
"Ah, I think I have someone who could distract them a bit." Damon smirked.
"Who?" Alaric asked frowning.
I took a deep breath and pulled Kellan with me.
"Us." We approached them and they all had a shocked expression on their faces.
Matt jumped in front of Elena and pointed the shotgun towards me.
"Don't you dare to touch her!" He half shouted.
"Easy, Matty." Kellan teased.
"Kellan." Elena said still in shock.
"Get away from her, quick!" Matt shouted.
"Please. I already paid a price to be here." He said and showed them his vampire face.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Elena screamed.
"Nothing. I came back. And that was the price." A single tear rolled down my cheek.
I took some step towards them.
"Stay right there." Matt pulled the trigger.
I tensed up as well as Kellan next to me.
"Matt." Caroline said harsh.
"What?" He bit back.
"It's alright."
His jaw dropped.
"I talked to her. It's okay." She explained and walked in front of the shotgun.
"Matt. I turned them on again. Kellan had to pay the price but he knew what he was getting hisself into." I started again calm.
"Callie." Alaric took the word.
"What does that mean?"
I sighed and looked at Damon. He nodded. I felt Kellan stroke my back.
"Katherine visited me. Told me about all this." Kellan pointed at us.
"Then Elijah called her and told her about Callie and that she needed a fix." He took a deep breath.
"I decided that she was worth it. I let her turn me so that Callie would turn her emotions back on."
A single tear appeared in his eye but he whipped it away.
"Kellan." Elena said in shock and walked towards him.
"You don't know what you get yourself into."
Now I got angry.
"Yes, Elena. He knows. He can take the consequences. He has to. As well as I. Please." My voice got softer towards the end.
Elena didn't even looked at me.
"I can forgive you, Callie." Alaric said and I smiled.
"Me too." Matt sent me a small smile.
I felt how I relaxed a bit.
"And you?" I asked with my voice trembling.
"Are you going to help us with Finn?"
"Yes, Elena. I will."
"And what's about Klaus?"
"I love Damon." I said. I couldn't just say that I still don't want Klaus to die.
She nodded.
"Then welcome back." Her voice was cold. She didn't forgive me.
Damon looked at me for a second before he spoke up again:
"So that is the plan: We get the originals away from Finn and just kill him." He threw a bag with white oak stakes in front of us.
"Everyone takes on and GO!"
We all nodded and grabbed one.
"Where are you going, Cal?"
"Keeping them distracted."
Damon nodded and sent me a small smile.
I linked arms with Kellan again and spoke up: "So we are going now. Wish you luck."
Caroline laughed slightly but Elena's face stayed cold.
"Come on, Cal. We gotta go." Kellan pulled me away and some moments later we arrived in front of the grill.
We entered and looked around.
"He's not here." Kellan stated.
I grinned and walked over to Mila.
"Hey. Have Klaus or Rebekah been here lately?"
"Yes, with a strange guy today but they left a bit ago."
"Okay. Thank you. There's Kellan. Your date." I compelled her.
She smiled and walked towards him.
"Hey, Kellan."
"Hey." He rushed over to me.
"What are you doing now, Cal?"
"Don't worry. Enjoy your 'date'. I take care of Bekah and Klaus."
He nodded and walked over to Mila and left with her.
After I drunk some shots I finally felt strong enough to face him.
The Mikaeslon mansion was cold and lonely. All the cars were gone.
Puh, that could go really wrong.
I knocked at the door.
Silence. No one was answering.
I knocked again.
Finn opened looking rather annoyed.
"Callista. You? Here?"
My knees felt weak.
"Yes." I bore.
"Anyway, I was just about to leave.
Niklaus was asking because of Esther. Maybe I should call her." He threatened and I gulped.
"Enough, Finn." Klaus voice rang out and he appeared in the doorframe.
Thank god. Finn glared at him and rushed past me.
"Hello, love." his warm voice made me shiver...still.
"Hey." I took a small step towards him.
Klaus smiled and hugged me.
"How are you feeling?"
"Well, better. Elena still hates me but all the others forgave me."
He pulled me into the salon where we sat down at the couch.
"Which brings me here."
Klaus raised an eyebrow at me.
"I want your forgiveness."
"Of course, I forgive you, love!"
Now I was smiling as well.
"Did you heard of me and Damon?" I asked a bit concerned.
"Yes." Klaus looked sad.
"Klaus, listen-"
"No, everything is alright. Damon and I both knew that one of us could loose you forever." He explained and took my hand.
"And I lost you."
My eyes teared up.
"I am sorry, Klaus."
He smiled, a real smile.
Klaus leaned forwards and kissed me.
I was to puzzled to even break away. I just sat there and felt his lips on mine. He threw his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.
"Stop." I finally broke away.
"Callie." He said guiltily.
"It's okay. That was our last kiss. A goodbye kiss, Klaus."
I leaned against his shoulder.
"Goodbye." He whispered.
"Oh, you're leaving Callie?" Rebekah stepped in.
"No. I just made a decision."
"For Damon."
"Yes."
"He's a jerk." She commented and looked at me.
"Wait. What? YOU slept with him, Rebekah." I said snippy.
"Oh come on! He enjoyed it."
"Rebekah, repress yourself." Klaus warned while I glared at her.
"I wont. She played dirty little games with you and with Damon."
"I-" I started but she cut me off.
"Oh no. Don't even say it! You can't just put all the blame on the Juliette inside of you. You had those feelings yourself!"
I was stunned. What was she trying to proof?
"You loved them both! You played the same games as Katherine."
I gasped for air.
"The same games as Elena. You are just like her! You're not better! You fooled us all!" She screamed now.
My knees felt weak.
I was shaking.
"Rebe-"
"Don't. You just hurt my brother's feelings! He was in pain for almost 100 years! And now he'll be in pain for another 100! Just because you played those dirty games!" Rebekah's voice was trembling.
"Stop it, Rebekah!" Klaus looked stunned as well.
"I'm done." She said cold and left.
I just stared into space.
That hurt. And somehow it was true.
That hurt the most.
"Callie, I am truly sorry." Klaus ripped me out of my thoughts.
"No. Everything's fine." I mumbled and opened the front door.
"Callie."
I just shook my head and left.
"Callie. Don't! Please!" Klaus called after me but I didn't want to hear it.
Gosh, Rebekah is right.
*Kellan's POV*
Hopefully Callie wasn't getting herself into something dangerous.
But one the other hand I couldn't really deal with my desire.
Mila just followed me outside.
I grabbed her wrist an took a deep breath.
"You will not think that this is any strange." I concentrated and looked her straight into the eyes.
"I wont think that this is strange." She repeated uninflected.
Wow, it worked. I laughed slightly, pulled her close and kissed her.
She entered the kiss greedy.
I had to chuckle and seconds later we were at the boarding house.
"Wow. It's beautiful!" She complimented as she looked around.
"Yeah. A drink?"
"Yes." Mila smiled and walked over to the boom box.
Talk dirty from Jason Derulo came on. She moved her hips to the music and came closer.
I handed her her drink and she downed it.
Wow, Mila was impressing.
She had black long hair and deep greenish-brown eyes.
And her body, huh, HOT.
"You're starring at me. You like what you see?" She asked with a smirk.
"Definitely."
Now she stood right in front of me.
She pushed me down so I had to sit at the sofa. She leaned down and sat down at my lap.
I growled and she kissed me again.
Her fingers wandered over my shirt and ripped it open.
I pulled her closer and opened her bra.
My desire was getting the best of me.
Mila unbuckled my belt and I pulled her skirt away.
We got started but before we could get any more into it I felt my face vamp up.
Her blood smelt delicious, she was warm; alive.
My fangs cut through her skin and the liquid flowed down my throat.
I moaned and felt how she got weak in my arms.
Oh god. I stopped.
"Uh, done?" She asked teasing.
I grinned and kissed her again.
We moved together when suddenly a window somewhere in the house broke.
I lifted her down from me.
"What's wrong?" She looked at me.
"Someone is here." I put my bottoms on and rushed upstairs.
Stefan's room; Nothing.
Damon's room; Nothing.
My room; a damn broken window.
"What the fuck?" I mumbled and slowly went back downstairs.
The room was empty.
"Mila?" I asked and looked around.
"Hey, Mila!?" I shouted through the house.
"Are you looking for her?" A feminine voice rang out.
I looked around and spotted her at a beam at the ceiling.
"Actually yes." I tried to sound calm.
The woman had similarities with Caroline.
Blond hair and that barbie-vibe.
"Who are you?" I asked.
Obviously she was something supernatural.
"Oh, I am Rebekah."
My jaw dropped. The Original-vamp?!
"And you are Kellan. Another one if Callista's toys. You let Katherine turn you just for her. Stupid little boy."
"Alright. And why are you here?"
"Well, I was bored and hungry."
Mila. Damn it. I concentrated and heard her heartbeat fading.
"Let Mila go."
"Fine."
She dropped her but I caught her before she could hit the ground.
"Bravo." She clapped her hands.
"Yeah. Now leave."
Rebekah sighed.
"Hasn't they told you that my temper is always getting the best of me?" She asked with a threatening voice.
"Somehow they did. But I spent time with Callie and Katherine. And I know Caroline so..."
Rebekah rushed over to me.
"Don't waste my time."
Suddenly I flew through the room and hit a wall. My back cracked.
Through a blur I saw Rebekah wandering over to Mila.
With a single fingernail she cut her carotid open and smiled.
Within seconds she was dead.
"No." I whispered weakly.
"Yes." Rebekah stepped closer to me and pulled me up.
"And now we are going to have some fun."
She snapped my neck and it all went black.
*Callie's POV*
That was rough. I walked in a normal speed back to the boarding house to clear my thoughts.
Rebekah was right and it hurt to face this. Maybe Kellan should leave me behind.
When I reached the front door I noticed that she was open.
"Kellan?" I shouted and entered slowly.
"Hello?"
No one answered so I made my way over to the living room.
A girl laid on the floor.
I stepped closer.
"Mila?" She had no heartbeat.
"Oh my god, Mila!!" I bit my wrist and pressed it against her mouth.
"Drink!!"
No reaction. No, no, no: She's dead. He lost it. A small voice in my head said teasing.
I pulled my phone out and called Damon.
"Hey, Cal." He said loving.
"Damon. It's something with Kellan."
"Okay." Now he was concerned.
"Come here!" I just said quickly and hung up.
I stood there, at the fireplace, staring into the dancing flames and drinking my scotch when his loving voice rang out behind me: "Callie, what happened?"
"I failed." I answered exhausted.
"What are you saying?" Damon sounded desperate.
I pointed towards the dead body behind the sofa.
"I let Kellan go away with her. Because I secretly wanted to meet with Klaus." I bit my bottom lip.
"And now this girl is dead and I don't know where Kellan is!" I half shouted in despair.
"Callie." Damon shook his head slightly and came closer.
He cupped my face with his hands and smiled loving.
"Everything is okay. We'll find him."
He kissed me softly.
"Damon. I am sorry."
"There is no reason to be sorry. We'll talk about all this later but for now we need to find Kellan." Damon looked deeply into my eyes.
"Okay." I nodded and we made our way upstairs to check Kellan's room.
The huge window was broken and shards covered the floor.
"Damn it." I mumbled.
"That wasn't Kellan." Damon exclaimed stunned.
And I'm pretty sure I know who did this.
