"That won't kill me."
"You fooled me! You lied over and over again!"
"Ah, ah, ah. Don't forget what you promised."

Their screaming's made me wake up.
"Klaus. Who are you fighting with this time?" I shuffled downstairs tiredly.

"Perfect, now we woke her up!"

"Klaus. What's going on?!"
I rubbed my eyes and finally looked up.
"Elijah." I gasped.
"Calista." he smiled and kissed my hand.
"How? I mean- how are-?" I stuttered.
His smile got bigger.
"Damon released me."
Now I joined his smile and wrapped my arms around him.
"Elijah!" I said happily.
He laughed and whirled me around.
"Hello, Callie. How are things going?"
I stopped laughing and looked down.
"It's difficult."
"Tell me later, Callie. Now I have things to do." He kissed my cheek and left.
He's back, he's finally back.

*Flashback*
The sun beamed down as we walked through the garden.
"Why does it feel like I know you for ages, Elijah?"
He laughed.
"That's the connection."
"Connection?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I can't tell you. Not yet."
"Hm, okay." I smiled and leaned against his shoulder.
I can trust him. I know him. He is a friend.
I smiled again.
"But one day I'll tell you."

*today*

"Are you happy, love?" Klaus stepped closer.
"Yes."
"So you're ready to talk with me?"
I let out a deep sigh.
"Yes. But let me get changed at first."
He nodded.
I took a quick, hot shower and got dressed.
I went for dressy high waisted shorts, a white shirt and a boyfriend blazer completely covered in sequins.
Matching with the orange and blue sequin blazer I went for blue heels.
"You look wonderful, love."
"What about knocking?"
"Sorry." He chuckled.
I styled my hair in some messy waves and applied a classic makeup.
"Finished." I exclaimed and turned around.
"Stunning." Klaus commented and I laughed.
"Now we'll talk." He said and pulled me downstairs.

"Why did you run off?"
"I failed you. And Damon."
"What?" He looked confused.
"I helped them so that Damon won't hate me and then I helped you so that you won't hate me."
He looked sad.
"I will never hate you."
"But I can't just pick one side! I will never be able to decide!"
"You don't have to!" He said and came closer.
"Yes, I do! You and Damon.. You push and pull at me like at a rope!"
"No! No! Callie, you can do what ever you want!"
"No! You don't even get it! I can't leave one of you alone! I can't choose one of you! But I also can't have you both!"
"So you feel the same for me as you feel for Damon?"
The question shocked me.
"I don't know. Cause I don't know which part of my feelings comes from Juliette and which are my own."
"I am so sorry, love."
"For what?"
"Making you go through this. For let you deal with this Juliette-part inside of you."
"You can't change it anymore."
He sighed.
"And that's what I'm sorry for, love."
During our tense conversation we got close to each other. He had grabbed my hands tightly.
We stared at each other full of emotions.
I looked away.
"Klaus, I should go and talk to Damon."
Now he looked away as well.
"Yes, you probably should. But be home tonight."
"Huh, why?"
"I am hosting a dinner party."
I laughed slightly and left.

When I arrived at the Boardinghouse, I didn't even knocked, I went straight inside.
"Damon?"
No answer.
"Hello?"
Stefan appeared in front of me.
"Callie."
"Stefan. Where's Damon?"
"Something to do with Elijah."
"Ah."
"Why have you moved out?"
"I thought I am not longer welcome."
"Why?" He raised an eyebrow at me.
"I failed you all."
"Huh?"
"I stopped Damon."
"Yes, because otherwise he would be dead."
"What?"
"Klaus hybrids would have killed him if Klaus would have died."
I gasped.
"What?" I was shocked.
"You didn't know." Stefan commented.
No, I thought and looked away.
"How do you feel after Elena's statement?" I changed subject quickly.
"Hm. How are you?"
"I knew it already."
"Huh."
Fine, don't talk with me, Stefan.
"Where is Damon?"
"At the old witch house."
I left, there was nothing more to say.
