Adrenaline High's

As we reach my dorm, our breathing is rapid since we ran from the library to here; we see another note taped to the door.

My heart slows down a little bit as my adrenaline high is fading once I recognize the Headmaster's handwriting. The clue read:

"The game has changed; danger is fast approaching like this school has never seen before. You need to use this last clue from me wisely.

Look into the past, you likely find a hint of the future. If you look at records, you know what or who, you need to beat.

The next and last clue you will receive in the next month or so, it will be from them. I wish you the best of luck, but I can no longer help you from here. Solve the last clues I have given you, it will help you to under-stand."

After reading this, we get the book out and we open it to page 3. There is nothing on the page.

"There is nothing here?! Wait, wait, wait; didn't the clue we just got us tell us something about under-stand? What if he doesn't mean 'grasp the concept'; what if he means to read this book we need to get something that was 'under the stand' of the book?" I say completely horrified and disappointedly to Judas.

"Mrs. Wingerdel is still in there, we need to keep her in there until we have Isla. The main plan was to use her as a bargaining chip for the People. We will not be able to get in there until we make the exchange. Let us just hope she hasn't found it already. Whatever 'it' is..." Judas trails off in thought.

"In the mean time, we need to find these records he is talking about. They must be in the library; it is probably records of the school. We need to search the library-" I pause, remembering the glance I had of the book section of all of the older books in designated stands, but much less important than the Restricted Book of course.

*Flashback to my second day at the school

I was looking for my English book 'Return of The Swan" which is even more boring than it sounds -and despite its fictitious name, is actually a non-fiction book about the Revolution- and I remember coming across the far side of the library that is usually pretty desolate; and saw some of the school's more important and older books on display, much like how the restricted books were set up. As I was walking along distracted by the books I failed to notice the folded bit of carpeting on the floor and tripped over it; resulting in me landing below the stands on the floor.

What I failed to count as important to this day however, was the symbols on the bottom of the stands, that matched the symbols for the book, however the Restricted book does not have a symbol on the front cover as all of the books on the stand should.

"That must be the key!" I say excitedly to Judas who jumps in surprise.
