I remember the day I had gotten my drivers license for the first time. My mom, instead of being proud of me, handed me a grocery list of things to get for our upcoming party. And yes we had people like butlers and maids and that, but after the last maid messed up her party plans she makes me get the stuff now. I remember her odd curl she put at the end of her 'y's and the way she rolled the end of her 'a's. That wasn't what gave the certainty of the situation though, not until I saw her seal signed at the bottom of her business letters I had stumbled upon once, and got berated for digging through. It was then that my world ended and shock and denial overtook me as I raced to grab my phone and dial the hotel my parents had said they were staying at in Costa Rica.
"Hello, you've reached the Port Side Resort, how may I help you?"
"Could you please connect me with Mr and Mrs. Wilson please?" I ask as my voice is cracking in urgency.
"Oh I am sorry, they checked out about a week ago." The clerk said and I immediately hung up, too overrun by my thoughts to use any sort of manners.

Five minutes later I was still holding on to the phone after having dialed every hotel and suite in the area of their supposed 'work' that was going to take them 3 or 4 weeks, after hearing 'sorry, no one of that name stayed here', by a million fake voices; I shakily typed in the number I was dreading.

zzzzzzztt, zzzzzzzt 'Sara Wilson's phone, sorry I am too busy for your call, please leave your name, number, and  detailed message and I will be sure to get back to you!'

"Mom please, please call me back. Tell me you are with Dad somewhere far, far from here. Please... just, just call me back once you get this." I sat against the sink trying to pull myself out of my reverie. There is no way it is them, but who else's seal could that of been? It is then the vibration from my phone cuts me off with an incoming call from Mother.

"Hello?! Mum is that you? Where are you guys? Please tell me you aren't in Port Side anymore and are in some other exotic place I have no desire to ever go to...." I pause as I wait for a response as I hold my breath and gnaw at my lip anxiously.

"Hi Skyla, it is your Mother's assistance Janice. She told me to tell you that they are fine, just work has held them up so they will be stuck in Port Side for an extra day or two..."

"No, that can't be rig- ok thank you have a good day." I say hanging up abruptly. My Mother just gave me the greatest hint of all and her scribbly but somehow neat, writing was not it. I know realise who pulls all of the strings; it is not the Ingumm anymore, and not the People, but a form of the People. My parents may be the Ingumm, yes that is right, but they aren't calling the shots anymore. Why else would they have the 'People' ploy? They were trying to tell me something... but who is the leader? I was broken from my thoughts as Judas knocks on the door,

"Skyla, I know you are a girl and all, but is it really necessary to be in there for an hour? I know society puts a whole bunch of pressure to look amazing and everything but you...... look like shit," as I step out of the bathroom no doubt looking like a mad scientist.

"I mean a hot mess?" he tries, but fails.

"Nice try, but your two remaining brain cells will have to work harder than that." I snort, not so attractively. I pass a mirror and shriek as I see that Judas is actually right and I quickly turn from Judas to at least tame my hair back into a bun.

"I am just messing with you, I mean if anyone could pull off the whole banshee/zombie look, it'd be you" Judas just dug himself a bigger hole.

"How does your father even raise you? I mean seriously he is so put together and strict and dare I say it, proper! Then there's you, who is not anything like that, at all." I say with a pointed look, thankful that this conversation is taking my mind off of the task at hand if only for a couple of minutes.

"If you haven't noticed yet, Banshee, my Dad isn't exactly the Fatherly type. He was gone even before my mother left; either at this meeting or that. Never was he with us, his family. Heck even on Saturdays he is off at these, 'school meetings' yet no staff or any other schools have or go to these said meetings. As a matter of a fact that one night when I was out in the hall where we first met, was because I was following him."

"Why were you following him? He was just giving me the first clue..." I jest.

"Giving you the first clue? Skyla, the Ingumm have always handed out the clues themselves that is how it works. Why did you think my Dad was handing out the clues? He was only supposed to give you the one clue which was when I was with you and that was because the Ingumm weren't allowed to give that to you as it didn't count as a clue, but more a summons." Judas says getting really in depth, his green eyes flashing whilst he stares at me with somewhat slit unblinking eyes.

"I am so sorry Judas, I don't know what to say, but your father isn't who you think he is...." I falter as everything clues together. I explain everything to him.

"....He must have been batting for both teams; still giving the player the hints, but not fully. He either left something out or added something, no matter what, he wrote just enough to ensure they could barely make out the clue and fall into the next clue. He must have been trying to figure out how to take down the Ingumm, but it still doesn't make sense... If he knew who they were than what was he waiting for?......" I trail off while I pace back and forth with my finger on my lip in thought as Judas stood with his head down and hair dangling from his forehead blocking his eyes from my view, but I knew they were clenched tight, like his fists, as he fought the truth. I watched the tension leave him as he came to terms with it.

"Wait, than why did Isla tell me when she was explaining the process that your Dad would be handing out the clues? If what you say is true, than she was in on it too. When she was talking though she said not to even trust her, she must be how your Dad knew we had solved the hints, she was being forced to relay information to him! That is why she would never help us with the clues, because the less she knew, the less she had to betray us..." I trail off again in thought and love the feeling as the pieces all fall together, but I immediately feel awful as Judas pales and is gawking at something or someone, just as I hear someone clear their throat.
