"What's up?" Carly asked, bringing me into a warm hug once noticing my tears dried on my face.
As soon as I finished speaking Matt stepped into the livingroom, looking at me.
"Haley?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's me" I waved and faked a small smile.
"I heard... a-about Anton" he looked at me as if he was sorry for my loss.
"You did?" I sniffed.
"Yeah, I'm really sorry" he joined the hug.
"What happened?" Carly soon asked, confused of what news Matt and I were talking about.
"A-Anton..." I started to feel tears build up in large amounts.
"Died..." Matt saw I wasn't strong so he finished my sentence for me.
She gasped with disbelif.
"Oh, Haley, I am so sorry, I should've never asked!" She hugged me tighter.
"No, it's fine"
"Here, sit down" She helped me to the couch and patted my back.
"Need anything?" She offered.
"No, but I don't want to go home..." I remembered how I went off on Porter, I love him but I don't want to shut down on him again, I don't need to mess up any more then I already have.
"Hey, Matt?" Carly asked across the room toward him.
"Yeah?" He looked up from his phone.
"Do you mind if we have a visitor for the night?" She smiled.
"Not at all" He nodded.
Carly and I squeaked as if we were five year olds excited to have a sleep over. I heard Matt chuckle and I felt like Carly would easily become a close friend to me. When I was around her, all my worries about Anton and Porter just disappeared. And of course, Matt is nice too. Plus, they're adorable together.
