Porter and I decided to keep the engagement and pregnancy on the down low for now, although its a little hard to hide a ring shining of y finger. But no one has noticed yet, so I think I'll be fine.
"So... life?" Carly asked.
Carly invited me to have a girls day with her to catch up, while Porter and Matt spend the day doing something as well.
"In doing fine, how about you?" I asked back.
"Great, great"
To be honest it was kind of awkward and Carly could probably sense I'm hiding something as well.
"What are you hiding, Haley" she pulled me to the side and stopped walking down the long mall.
"Promise you will NOT tell... even Matt" I looked at her with a death glare.
"Promise" she smiled.
"Okay... iampregnantandengaged" I rushed out.
"Slower" she said, extending the 'o'.
"I am pregnant and engaged" I gulped.
"Oh my gosh!" she squealed and hugged me even though we were I the middle of the mall.
"Shh!" I put my finger on her lips, making her be quiet.
"Sorry" she mumbled.
"How long have you been... preggers?" she whispered the last word as we started walking again.
"Not even a day" I chuckled.
"Oh, engagement? when did Porter propose?" she asked.
"Like, yesterday" I replied to all her questions.
"I'm so happy for you two!" she squealed, only this time a little quieter.
"What about you and Matt?" I asked.
"We are just kinda slowly going along, he hasn't proposed and we haven't planned on having a child yet..."
"Porter an I don't even plan" I laughed.
She laughed along and continued.
"But I kinda like that we're just slow. We've been together for around a year now though" she finished up.
I nodded and we continued to our favorite store, which had to be all the way across the mall.
