Chapter Three

We both looked at each other knowing we were the only ones who hadn’t hugged. I took the first step.

I walked over hugging him tightly “I’m glad you could come.”

He hugged me back just as tightly “I couldn’t miss your first big show!”

I smiled knowing he still cared even if things didn’t end well with us. We stood there for a while hugging. Finally we heard Matt clear his throat.

I chuckled letting go of Jack even though I really didn’t want to. “Sorry.”

Cassadee walked over to me “So when are you releasing that bonus song?”

I giggled “I actually planned on releasing it tonight. I think I’ll put it on my site. My manager set it up so people have to put in the date of the show they’re attending with their section number to receive it. If they don’t attend a show they have to order the album to receive it or type the code in their albums. I have no idea how it works completely but I know it’s really cool.”

She chuckled “Sounds cool. I’m glad you sent it to me early so I don’t have to go through the craziness on your site.”

I nodded “Yeah I heard the site already crashed three times since we put up stuff about the song coming out tonight.”

Alex laughed “Seriously? I had that happen once. Them fans get a bit crazy.”

I could feel Jack’s eyes on me the whole time. I allowed myself to glance over at him seeing him smiling the whole time he was watching me. I just wanted to run back into his arms holding him close and never let go. Ever since I saw his post that night all I kept thinking about is what could happen if we saw each other again. Honestly I just wanted to run to him confessing me love for him but I knew that honestly wasn’t the best choice for us. Cassadee didn’t want me to go back to him yet. She even convinced me to go on a trail date with her friend Cameron.

We seemed to hit it off even though we both were very hesitant. We both had things not end so well with people so we both weren’t sure how ready we were to jump into something.

Cassadee must have decided to either make Jack jealous or make him feel very uncomfortable because she turned to me smirking “Soooo... Let’s talk about something else... How about your status with Cam?”

Alex chuckled “Not this again!”

Jack raised an eyebrow “What? Cam who?”

I just stayed very quiet knowing I didn’t want to say anything in front of Jack. I wanted to shrink away.
