I finished my show for the night in Cleveland with the same set list I made a week earlier. I was full of energy and feeling good. I smiled not caring that sweat was probably running down my face.
The tour manager approached me “Hey Ava. Someone claimed those tickets tonight. They’re now in your room.”
A little stunned I nodded “Thanks.”
I’ll admit I expected someone else. I was stunned what I walked in seeing Jack sitting on my couch.
He looked up smiling “Hey.”
I smiled slightly “Hi.”
He stood up walked towards me “You put on a great show.”
I nodded “Thanks.”
He pulled me into a hug once he was close enough.
I hugged him back glad he finally came.
He continued to hold me close “So where are you going to be tomorrow?”
“New York I think.”
“Cool. Mind if I tag along?”
I pulled away “You want to stay with me?”
He nodded “Of course! I figured it will give us enough time to figure this all out.”
“Why did you wait so long to come?”
He looked down scratching the back of his head “Had to figure out my shit. A lot of drama and shit came up since I saw you last but we can discuss that later. Let’s just enjoy each others company.”
I nodded pull him into another hug. He didn’t seem to mind how sweaty I was and held me as close as he could get me.
The next day I woke up on my tour bus feeling groggy. I got up needing coffee as I walked to the front lounge. I looked around noticing Jack was sitting at the table drinking coffee watching tv.
He smiled noticing my presence “Good morning beautiful.”
I smiled slightly “Morning.”
“I made coffee. The pot is on the warmer so you would wake up to warm coffee.”
I smiled wider “Thank you. That was very thoughtful.”
He smiled back before getting serious “Well I thought I could let you know what has happened since we last spoke.”
I nodded getting a cup of coffee before sitting on the other side of the table looking at him. He turned off the TV getting comfortable.
He sighed “So I’ll start from the beginning...”
