I led Accadia to a seaside cavern on the coast of Hawaii, where I'd found her, and lifted a pile of wet sand to close the entrance.

I figured I'd take her to The Crystal Caves after she healed, since I had conveniently found one here.

It was perfect. If the humans managed to find the place, it would just look like a large rock buried in sand due to my magic.

Before sealing the entrance to the small cavern with the wet sand, I used my water spear to break a hole through which she could breathe and told her to stay put.

"I'm gonna go get some medical supplies and clothes for you back home, don't go anywhere, and be quiet in case they send more soldiers."

Accadia nodded in silence.

I took one last look at her. There was something childish and innocent about her demeanor that I couldn't place, maybe it was her size and sweet voice. Not to mention those big silvery eyes full of innocence. They gave me a feeling I couldn't describe when I looked at them.

Breaking out of my thoughts, I sighed, sealed the cave, and ran to shore.

As soon as the waves were crashing onto my knees, I took a plunge forward as my legs quickly shifted into a shiny purple tail.
The fin of the tail, which would have been completely white if it wasn't for the dazzling opalescent colors that adorned it, was the last part of me to disappear from view as I swam into the depths of the ocean.

It didn't take me long to reach Asrai, a beautiful underwater city veiled with magic so strong, humans would never be able to find it; even with their newfound technology and knowledge of magic.

Castles and homes made of different types of crystals and stones rose from the sand after I crossed the greenish forcefield surrounding the city.

I had my eyes locked on my home, swimming into my room in a flash, hoping no one would notice me.

Grabbing the wooden bunk I'd keep hidden in the closet, I opened it and reached for a small box which contained some human clothes I kept. You know, for those times I'd decide to take a stroll in the human world without being noticed.

I'd go there to draw the landscapes of the human world and visit secret magician stores, which is where I'd buy my books on faeries.
I loved to read all about them, always wondering what they would be like, and now I had one hidden on the shores of Hawaii.
The universe must have responded to my curiosity.

I grabbed a simple shirt, underwear, and some shorts for Accadia, all the while being very quick and alert in case I heard Erya or any of my other dorm mates swimming in my direction.

Nixes are separated into dorms depending on their role in society, chosen after they pass the Elder's tests.

Stuffing the clothes into my purse, which was enchanted to keep its contents dry, I turned to leave.

I was swimming as fast as I could when I bumped into a nix named Lucia, sending her crashing into one of the marble pillars that lined the hall I was swimming through, her ashy blonde hair flowing in every direction.

I bounced back and dropped my purse in the commotion.

"I am SO sorry, Lucia. I was going too fast, didn't see you there. Are you ok?" I said as I swam down to pick up my purse. Thank goodness its contents hadn't dropped out.

She waved a hand over her head where she'd gotten hurt, "Nothing a little Healer Nix magic can't fix."

Lucia was also a Healer Nix, same as all of the girls that lived in this dorm. A dorm that more closely resembled a castle because most of us living there were nobility, direct descendants of Tethys Asrai.
