this'll probably be my last one-shot for a few days :-(
gonna go on one last trip before school starts again yikes !1!!!1!
this'll also be an au. if you don't know what an au is, i'll put the description down below. but i'm figuring that most of you know what it means.
an alternative universe (also known as alternate universe or alternate reality), commonly abbreviated as au, is a type or form of in which canonical facts of setting or characterization in the universe being explored or written about are deliberately changed.

but you guys are so active on my other one-shots and the views for this within a total of a few days overwhelms me! thanks guys, that makes me smile (:

you had been a member of the port mafia for a while now.
over the time you also developed a crush on akutagawa.
you don't know how you developed a crush on him. him too. he didn't seem like the romantic type.
boy, were you wrong.

"akutagawa! it's almost christmas...!" you grin, jumping up and down.
"yes (y/n), i know, and you've been bothering me about it all day. leave me alone."
you paused and sulked.
your sunny aura had disappeared after he had said those heart-breaking words.
"(y/n), i didn't mean it like that—"
"i know."
the tone you used those words struck him, struck him like a truck.

"it's christmas~! it's christmas~!" you say running around your bedroom at 1am.
then you had an idea.
it was sure gonna pìss akutagawa off but it was all worth while.
you snuck to his room, quietly, making sure not to wake him up.
then you pounced on top of the bed.
"akutagawa..! wake up it's christmas!" you cheered jumping on the bed.
"(y/n)?! what the héll are you doing?! go back to bed it's 1am!" he grunted as he rubbed his sleepy eyes.
"it's christmas day!" you cheered, pìssing him off even more.
you felt him grab your wrists and pin you down on the bed.
his warm lips shut you up.
you were shocked at first, but fell into his spell and kissed back.
then he pulled away.
"(y/n)..." he says, hands reaching up to his lips.
"leave."
that one word made you shatter into millions of pieces.

stray tears rolled down your cheeks.
it was 3am and you were crying over what akutagawa said to you.
you had to admit it, you had fallen head over heels with this guy. there's no denying that.
"(y/n)...?" a groggy voice said from the doorway of your room.
"ch-uuya." you choked back a sob.
"what's wrong..?" he walked over to you and sat down next to you.
chuuya was a brother to you, you two were very close. he'd listen to your problems, he always had his shoulder for you to cry on.
you quickly brought your teddy bear to your chest.
"...you know how i told you i had a crush on akutagawa?" both of you stayed silent for a moment.
"yeah..."
"well, i think i got him mad and it just hit a nerve in him..."
"oh, i actually got up to get water, but i saw akutagawa standing there. like something was bothering him."
you stayed concerned about akutagawa right after chuuya said that.
you and chuuya talked for around 30 minutes.
"well, (y/n), i'm gonna go to sleep. promise me you'll try and talk to him later."
you nodded watching him turn and leave the room.
you closed your eyes, falling into a deep sleep.

"(y/n)." you heard a voice shake you awake.
"chuuya..? what time is it?" you say, squinting at your light on your ceiling.
"it's 7am (y/n), let's go open presents!"
you grin, brightening up and following him.

you two stood in front of the christmas tree.
you admired all the lights, you loved lights so much that you can stare at them for hours.
"merry christmas (y/n)."
"merry christmas, chuuya." you grinned as he pulled you into a hug.
from a corner, akutagawa watched you two hug. his heart felt like it'd been squeezed out of his body.

now that everyone was up, it was time to open presents.
"this is from me (y/n)!" chuuya handed you a small box.
you opened the box with a knife and a fedora caught your eyes.
"chuuya! i love it!" you grinned, goofily putting on the fedora, backwards.
"it's backwards (y/n)." he chuckled. "but that's not all!"
he pulled out a smaller box.
he opened it and your eyes widened at the pocket watch necklace.
"i love it chuuya! thank you!" you smiled giving him his own present.
"a new fedora! thanks (y/n)!" he grins.

you look down at the box.
it was akutagawa's present. you felt shy to give it to him.
"a-akutagawa? here's your p-resent." you gulped, flinching as he gently took the box from your hands.
"are you scared of me?" he said.
"n-no! of course not!" you smiled nervously.
he opened the box and his eyes widened.
and antique calligraphy set with some tea boxes.
his mouth went dry.
"(y/n), you shouldn't have spent this much on me..."
"it's all i can think of, enjoy..." you smile softly.
he grabbed your hand, preventing you from going anywhere else.
"i bought you a little something too..."

you gasped as you saw your new pair of headphones you'd been eyeing for a while now, and they sure were expensive.
"that's not all..." he said quietly, giving you a jewelry box.
you opened it up to see a necklace with a heart charm.
you squinted, seeing letters outline the heart.
'akutagawa'
then you look towards akutagawa in shock.
"(y/n), would you like to be my girlfriend?"
tears brimmed your eyes.
"of course i will." you smiled, sniffling.
he took the necklace from the box.
he put the necklace around your neck and clipped it in place.
"beautiful..." he whispered, kissing your cheek.

you sat by the fireplace, sitting on akutagawa's lap.
"i love you akutagawa."
"i love you too, princess."
your face turned beet red at the choice of nickname.
"aw, you look cute." he smiled, leaving a kiss on your neck.
you blushed even more.
