once again, another alternative universe one-shot.
i actually was gonna stan kunikida at the beginning of the bungou stray dogs but then kenji came in and i love adorable, innocent anime boys.
a bit short, i apologize. this was rushed. the next one's gonna be funny, i planned it all out oh
anyways, enjoy the one-shot!

"kunikida?" you say shyly.
"yes (y/n)?" he answers back, not looking down from his book.
"i was wondering...ah- nevermind. it's not important."
you were planning to ask who was kunikida's ideal girlfriend.
you desperately wanted to know.
'it's not like i have a crush on him..." you think to yourself.
wrong, you liked him. maybe even loved him.
"(y/n), tell me." he said demandingly.
"it's nothing special, go back to reading." you smiled softly, your eyes trailing down to his book.
you sighed after he didn't respond.
you turned away and didn't look back.

"u-um kunikida...?"
"what is it (y/n)?"
"i'm- um. nevermind. sorry." you ran away before you could hear his response.
"how peculiar..."

•

"dazai, help me out here."
"kunikida is asking me for help?! nani?!"
"yes, i'm asking you for help!"
"okay, let's get straight into the point. i think i found my ideal woman."
"kunikida's in love!!" dazai cheers.
"shut up you bastärd!" kunikida grabs dazai's collar and shakes him around, leaving dazai dazed.
"ok i'm sorry!"
"remind me to never ask you for help ever again." kunikida crosses his arms and lets out a small 'hmph'.
"here how about this." dazai whispers something in his ear.
"that's pretty dumb, but i'll try."

"do you have it up, kunikida?" dazai smiles at him.
"y-yeah. i'm nervous."
"it's okay kunikida!!" dazai pats his back a little too hard.
"ouch! you hit me too hard dazai!" kunikida growls.

"(y/n)? can i ask you something in private?"
"of course kunikida."
he grabs your hand and you find yourself blushing.

"woah, what's this?" you can feel the small smile on his face as he looks up to see a mistletoe.
"the rules are the rules. right?" he turns to you.
"y-yeah."
he grabs your waist and gives you a kiss.
sparks flew.
you slowly bring your arms around his neck.
then he pulls away.
"(y/n). you're my ideal woman. go out with me?"
"of course i will kunikida." you smile and peck his lips once more.
"yay!! they got together!" dazai comes out from a corner, cheering with a party hat on his head.
"you planned this didn't you?"
"y-yeah.."
"that's cute." you grin.
"but i find it funny how it's the middle of summer and we kissed under a mistletoe..."
"it was dazai's idea."
"of course it was." you smile.
