The whole deck of the starship rocked under Ashoka's feet causing crates in the  cargo bay to lean dangerously over her hiding spot.
"What was that?" Ashoka snapped into her comlink. She was not her usually perky self. Protecting the young, arrogant, fearless, irritating ...taking a calming breath reminding herself of her training she reworded her thoughts what she meant to say taking care of the wonderful, open minded, self-less princess was grinding on her nerves. "Speak to me MJ," she added after a moment silence. It didn't help that her apprentice and the princess were to peas in a pod.
"Sorry master," crackled MJ's voice over the comm. Her normally over confident voice had a edge to it that put Ashoka on alert. "I think we were just boarded. It's a star destroyer... he is here, I can feel him." Suddenly Ashoka could too. The presence in the force was so strong that it was like an ice shard had pieced her heart. Ashoka quickly cut herself off from the force fearing he would sense her presence the way she had known him. She hoped her padawan would have the presence of mind to do the same. She tried the comm but it had gone dead.
The mission had gone suddenly gone from mildly stressful to downright terrifying. MJ hated Anakin and being an over confident teen though she could take him. Ashoka sprang to her feet  and sprinted out the bay doors. Hoping stormtroopers would not be waiting around the corner to open fire. The halls of the cruiser were a mess of blaster fire and fallen troopers. Running past downed storm trooper she had to remind herself that they weren't the clones who had fought beside her during the time of the clone wars. The question had now become princess or padawan? MJ could defend herself against stormtroopers.  Her lightsaber training had progressed at a speed that left her force skill and at times her common sense in the dust. However, if she ran into Anakin he would kill her without a second thought. It tore at her to think just how much her master had gone to the dark side but it was the truth.    The princess on the other hand would not be able to fight her way out but she was cunning and the Empire would take her alive. Ashoka made her choice for better or worse. Leia was going to have to take care of herself.
She had to give MJ some credit for using a blaster. After all the sound of a lightsaber buzz in this small of a ship would have brought unwanted attention.  MJ was crouched behind a white wall while she showered blaster bolts on the on coming white troopers. Ashoka was nearly to her side when a ripple through the force announced the arrival of the black cloaked figure. The sound of his robotic breathing seemed to silence every other sound on the ship.
